Wow - LMT makes a nice AR

I had used a Colt for years, and to be honest, for all the crap I've been reading lately, the Colt was extremely durable and robust.

I am floored by my new LMT with the SOPMOD stock. The ergos, fit and finish, barrel quality - it's outstanding.

Time to get to an outdoor range and zero it in.

I do have a potentially dumb question, though.

This was spec'd as a STD16 SOPMOD at purchase.

The lower receiver is marked 'Defender 2000.'

Did I get an inadvertent upgrade, or is this really a STD16?

Enjoy the new LMT. When they're on their game, they make great stuff. They just need to hire more QC people; a buddy almost took a NIB LMT home, then decided to look at it before he left the store. It had a piece the size of a penny missing from the left side of the magwell!

I have a defender lower on mine and love it!

I also have the LMT STD-16 and it has been an excellent rifle. I was torn between the Colt AR6920 and the LMT.
