wwll 45 ammo C-E-S 43 headstamp value ?

I have the original 45 remington wwll pistol and box. A 50 round box of ammo with serial #s came with the gun. Somebody told me the ammo was valuabe. Thanks.

I believe it is actually E C S 43??

If so, it is made by Evensville (Chrysler) Ordnance plant in 1943.

The S stands for steel case.

Brass Evensville cases just had EC

Check it with a magnet and see if they are steel cases.

They are likely collectable if you have the box and can find someone who wants to buy them.

Thank you for the reply. Could you recommend a book or web site? I am having trouble finding information, nothing about ammo values on the shelfs at Barnes and Noble
