Yes I am in Need of HELP

"How do I explain this to my wife" threads come in two flavors: 1) my wife hates guns, what do I do? And 2) I got in trouble, what do I do? This is #2. Focus on your health, first!

That said, while I am a bachelor, I recently saw my Dad wrestle with the "ooooh, that's shiny, and it's only this much, I *should* talk to the wife first..." Luckily he went with the route that gets the boss' approval.

Based on the OP's deteriorating typing skills last night, and that he has not yet checked in to this thread today, I certainly hope he's just getting some more rest.

Job One is taking care of your health. After that it's a matter of arranging your priorities in regards to family, friends, and then everything else.

I am sorry, I could not really follow that first post. Anyone have any cliffnotes

Hard target: I am very sorry for your loss. Things do get getter over time, but that hole remains in your heart. I am very sorry for your loss.

Hey instead of thinning the herd, why not just...

Carefully document each firearm including serial number, pictures, your idea of condition and what you feel a current fair price per weapon would be. If your spouse knows exactly what you have and what to expect if she needed to sell them, no doubt she will be a lot more comfortable with it.

Also this little task will keep you busy with your toys while you recover and put you at ease that your wife wont get taken advantage of if she had to sell em.

Got a PM from the OP. He's taking the "get some rest" advice seriously; said he probably won't be on THR for a while. Just passing along that he's still alive and setting his priorities in order.
