One of my copywriters several years ago objected to my red ink. I told him if he didn't care for red ink, he should write better copy.

What red ink taught me, over sixty years ago:

If you learn to spell and to read; if you learn punctuation, and if you learn the math or history or whatever, YOU DON'T GET PAPERS BACK ALL BLOODY!!!

Sorry guys, this is off topic. It's also old news. And it's even older than that, really, because although people only seemed to notice when it became a color issue, teaching colleges have been teaching "positive" ways to mark papers for years and years now--ways like marking the correct answers instead of the wrong ones, always writing the grade as the number correct rather than the number missed (13/16 rather than -3) and a few others.

Anyway, this one is closed. Firearms or civil liberties, but not the dissolution of the youth.
