After 10 months I finally brought my 30 cal suppressor home today :)

As if to really exercise my patience, the same thing happened as with my .22 cal can; a 2-1/2 day NICS delay, it's as if they just really want to make me wait a tiny bit longer, LOL.

With any luck, weather permitting, I'll mount it my SCAR 17 tomorrow and see how it does. This one is a QD design.

Careful with the Scar 17, its muzzle brake uses a jam nut and its threads are probably too long unless your suppressor is designed to also square up against the muzzle crown.

You may need an adapter to replace the jam nut so the suppressor can have a proper shoulder to square up against.

Edit: Sorry, just noticed this:
This one is a QD design.

I assume you've solved the jam nut issue when mounting the QD adapter. I know the GemTech QD mount for the AK squares up against the front of the barrel.

I though about suppressing my Scar 17s, but the muzzle brake is so effective in making it incredibly soft shooting for such a light 7.62x51 I didn't want to give that up.

I'm using the YHM muzzle brake QD adapter on the SCAR; I figure it's about 80-85% as effective as a JP or other advanced comp while still allowing for easy on/off of the suppressor.

Must be nice!

My paperwork was approved March 4th and my FFL still hasn't gotten it back from the .gov yet...........:(

I figured out that NFA is not for an impatient man. When I bought this one I figured I was done with NFA items, tired of the wait, fronting large sums of money on a hope, all the usual headaches.

Then what happens? WA legislature passes , Gov signs law making SBRs legal to own and use. I just can't win :banghead::banghead:

10 more months, here I come!
