OK, here I'll finally post an original contribution:
You know...when you move into a new house and your bedroom door bothers the ever-living Hillary* out of you because it squeaks. And you re-research the best lubricant to use ('cuz you've got to pick from the 10 different types of miracle gun lubes, oils or CLPs that you bought because they were the finest, newest, most durable, etc.). And then finally just spray the hinges with FP-10, which you instinctively knew to do.
...only to find that your house isn't level, and the reduction in hinge friction (that was evidenced by the squeak) causes the Goreing* door to close by itself. And it still does, 3 years later (I guess FP-10 works!). And your wife is still pissed off at you, and tells you not to spray that gun Hillary* anywhere except on guns.
*Oh, and you have to find ever-more creative ways to avoid getting caught by the Art's Grammaw Rule.
