Young SLC shooters: should someone take Maddox shooting? "Best Page in the Universe"

I'd thought of this a while back, and thought I'd bring it up while folks are discussing Michelle Malkin wanting to shoot, Ashton Kutcher's recent pro-gun comments etc.

If you're under 30, you might have read Maddox's "Best Page in the Universe" website. If you're easily offended, don't go. His humor is pretty biting, but he seems a pretty interesting guy overall.

So I was thinking: this guy always decries the lack of personal responsibility, awareness, self-reliance, etc. of people. I bet he would be interested in going out shooting.

Further, every single article the man writes gets at least 1.5 million hits.

So, if you're a reasonably young, hip person in the SLC area, do you think that somebody should offer to take Maddox shooting? If I were in SLC instead of Austin, I'd do it myself (maybe for a free autographed copy of the "Alphabet of Manliness").

Just tossing the idea out. If anyone decides to invite him, post here first so that folks don't innundate the man. You probably need a good, clear Subject line to stand out from all the junk he gets from idiots.

I'd be more than happy to take Maddox shooting. I'm not familiar with his blog, website, or whatever it is. I've got a group of british guys and some guys in my band that have been begging me to take them to the range. So the more the merrier.

Yep, I read Maddox. He's a funny dude.

I've actually considered inviting him shooting, but for one reason or another I haven't yet. (I live about 30 min from SLC). Perhaps I should.
