It's very conventional, actually -- sort of a Model 14 on a diet. A three-inch tube actually is useful, ballistically.

If/when Wifey returns from family event with camera, I'll post a snap.

Buffalo Bore

Anthing Buffalo Bore labels as "standard pressure" or "reduced recoil/flash"
should be taken with a grain of salt. Their standard pressure .38 rd sure "feels" (admittedly unscientific) like a +P round. I've also got a box of their short bbl "reduced recoil" .357 round - those I'll be testing out on Sunday from my 686+ 4" bbl - not my SP 101.

Having said that the BB standard pressure .38 round is my carry ammo. If anything, its accuracy out of my M85 is superb. Maybe my Taurus just likes that ammo but I just think they made a VERY accurate round with that one.

For my M37?

Don't have a "favorite", but for SD, I keep Fed HSHP 110g for the first shot, and Magtech 158g SJHP NON-+P for the rest.

Wife Returns, Camera in Hand! --no insurance pay out. . . .

Well, she made it back so her life insurance remains worthless to me but I CAN post some snaps of my Model 36.

It's a 36-1 from '83 or '84. My Model 24-3 helps provide a sense of scale.

Tulipwood, finger grooved, checkered Monogrips are on order from Hogue. I have large hands.
