Do you have a favorite revolver that would be the last one you ever got rid of? I don't shoot it as much as the other, smaller guns (.357, .44, .45), but it is so awesome with my reduced-but-still-powerful loads that I'd have to keep it above the others. S&W 500 snubbie.

I'd keep the revolver on the far left of the picture myself.

Seriously though. Of mine I would keep my GP100 .357 As much as I love them, I am down to just 4. Reliable as they are and as much as I love them, capacity wins.

I was thinking more of when I reach my 80's, or grow slow enough that I cannnot exercise all my guns anymore. Not the same as selling them off just to sell, etc. More of the last ones in one's life to enjoy and use. Or, how about selecting one that is the most "you".

The last to go, not that any of them are going anywhere, would be my Security Six.

OK, I'll try,
I'm getting all teary just thinking about it, but, IF I could have only one,
(Here I go getting teary again),
It would would be my German made H. Weihrauch 2" bbl .357
Hides well, handles well, shoots well.
Well, I gotta go now after saying that, need a little time alone.

I second keeping the S&W 500ES. By the way, did you change the front sight and grips? Here's mine, I even took it to the range today:

Amazingly this 1937 Brazilian Contract 1917 would be the last to go. It has, hands down, the best trigger of any handgun I own. And, that includes several that have been worked over. The only changes to it I've done are a new front sight (better for my old eyes to see) and a set of Pachmayer grips. It balances very well in my hand, and the .45 acp is good enough for anything I need a handgun for, while having a very managable recoil.
