Coal Dragger-- Look at the specs of both revolvers, then grab the gift and put it on a scale (when she ain't looking), and you might be able figure something out. It's a start anyhow.;)

It's a nice size package. I'd say that's about as short as you can go with one of those, and still have a useful loading lever.

Shoots nice too. That's six shots on the target , off hand at ten yards.

I have both of the Ruger Stainless Hunters in .22 w/a Leupold 2x20 and the .44 Mag w/a Burris variable power scope....love 'em

My first and only revolver is a stainless Ruger GP100 with a 4" barrel and full lug. I'll always have that gun.

Stophel - Thats the pistol I'm on the hunt for now. But untill then my SS will have to do.

Do you have a favorite revolver that would be the last one you ever got rid of?

Not really, because the one I enjoy shooting the most is also the easiest to replace: Uberti '58 Remington copy with R&D conversion cylinder. My other revolvers are all sixguns and I like them but my two Remmies are the most fun.

That does point up a gap in my collection, however, and my next purchase will probably be a modern design .357, perhaps a GP100 or SP101 or a S&W.

well I plan on keeping pretty much all my fire arms to pass on to kids and grand kids should I ever have any more. At this point I am not likely to have many of them with just one daughter. If I had to pick a favorite it would be between my Colt Anaconda and my Smith 27-2. Probably leaning toward the 27.

I didn't buy any of them to ever get rid of, but these 2 will NEVER leave my care until I am gone
