Had a classmate a few years ago send me a email, she and big sister got their non-resident Florida CWL.
What is the big deal some may ask? Well parents are anti gun folks, believe in 911, and someone is supposed to keep them safe, currently the thinking runs to more surveillance cameras.
Little sister lived with her parents when I first met her at my former College. One can put up with some matters to get the money grandma set aside in a trust fund for college. I guess I should have mention the parents being controlling and manipulative as well earlier.
She wanted to move in with big sister, parents tossed out the “no money for school” card.
So big sister and I meet with little sister and if…well, concealed is concealed. As soon as little sister turned 21 she got a resident CCW and gun. Any other guns stayed at big sisters.
Ladies do have to get to and from home, work, run errands, not our problem parents are the way they are.
Come to think of it, I also need to be able to do these things , darn - I bet there are others too. *grin*
Little sister turns 23 and the Estate Attorney informs parents, he is not happy with the way some monies have been handled. He also believes in RKBA I am told.
Sisters have been taken advantage of and Attorney also knew, just waited for the rope to get longer, more rope, better noose if you will.
Sisters moved out of state, big sister doing some graduate work, little sister continuing her studies, dream is open a clinic together, one clinic is interested in taking them both in. Maybe take this over some day, partners, who knows?
They had resident permits in the new state, just with some travel this summer, needed to expand recipricosity.
“Steve, Sis and I have an idea on counseling folks, first we counsel on getting CCW, and then Non –Res FL, and then we counsel on the terrible picture. What do you think?
Sounds like a good idea to me.
