Your ultimate combat revolver?

Ultimate Combat Revolver for me, is my S&W Model 65 K frame. Three inch heavy barrel, .357, 6 rounds, Hogue grips, Brushed Stainless. Factory bobbed hammer, DAO, fixed sights, Tritium insert on the front sight. Very slick action. At 10 yards, all six into a circle the size of a silver dollar.
I like my handloads, using the 146 grain Speer SWHP. The powder varies from time to time, but most of my loads with this bullet give me 1200 fps. Not max by any means, but very accurate, reliable, and low enough recoil for me to fire a second or third shot rapidly.

While I really like my 4" Python I don't think it would stand long term use in the field. I traded my 586 for it, but for a combat revolver I would want a Ruger GP-100 4". the one I have out shoots my Python.

This 325PD comes pretty close to "perfect" for me...

Joe
Close, but should have a round titanium front sight, and a rear sight which is integral to the frame. That front sight is too fragile, and so is the rear sight. Everything else, however, is perfect.

4" Ruger Speed Six .357mag in SS with rubber Hogues.

Stronger than a Smith. Lighter than a GP-100. Fixed sights, good trigger, great balance, not too big, not too small. Works for me.
