yugo ak 47 folding stock

Does anyone know if you can change the under folding stock on a yugo ak to a more comfortable one i appreaciate it i am new to the ak world thanks

This came up not too long ago and no I don't believe you can...I mean you can't just take it off and snap something back on without some smithing.

Yep, i think Bazooka Joe's right, no changing out UF stocks without major surgery. You're best bet, do like i am.......sell the SOB !!!! I haven't even shot mine yet !!! I'm waiting on a buddy to get his gubment income tax check.

You can buy a whole 'nuther AK for about what it would cost to convert that one.

also wondering if there is a handgaurd that i can get that has picatiny rails on it so far i looked but i think the yugo hand gaurd is diffrent from others

The Ulimak mount will fit on the Yugo----not cheap though.

Wrap the inside arm of the stock (whichever side your cheek is going to be placed on) with 550 cord. Some people apparently also use plumbing insulation to do the same thing. Either will give you a bit of cushion and better cheek weld when shooting.

You can also add one of these to make it more comfotable on the shoulder. I have one and it works great.

im gonna wrap up that bad boy with 550 cord thats a good idea thanks also gonna buy that pad and gas tube thanks for the idea guys i got the ak for 420 with one mag brand new so i couldnt pass it up i can live with that anyone have a idea on slings for my new baby thanks again
