Yugo M70 Safety Lever Issues

I recently bought a yugo m70ab2t that was assembled by century arms. Overall the rifle seems to be pretty well built (ie. mags tight, no canted sights), but one issue I found is with the safety lever. When putting the rifle on "safe" the lever doesn't stop against anything meaning that it can continue to rotate upward with a little force. The attached pictures show the lever rotated too far and the gap between the lever and the receiver cover.

This is my first AK, but I believe the top of the safety lever should contact the receiver cover. Have any of you run into this issue? Any idea how to go about fixing it? One idea I had was to try and put a small bend on the tip of the lever so it contacts the dust cover when in the safe position.

Additionally; if it's "bent out" like that, you can always pull it out, bend it IN, and put it back in again. Ideally it should be a nice, tight, flush fit!

Bad assembly, but not bad guns - I have a Yugo M70AB2 and sold a LOT of them. Quite a few I had to fix issues with (particularly on gas tube fitment, but also some triggers).
