Ok first off, this is not a thread to posts what if scenarios (asides the one proposed) Or i would use, or any variant of scenarios that are not to the topic.
This topic is what types of ammo woul be best suited for quick dispatch. NOT the best gun or round (ie "i would take a .357 mag" or ".50 will kill anything")
but the topic is for piratical available ammo. in common types of weapons. Such as slugs, buck shot, bird shot, sabot, clay shot, FMJ, Hollow Points, and variants.
My friend and I wer thinking and we got to questioning the effectiveness of certain types of ammo in different weapons, not just the weapon it self that TV, books and games depict.
I didnt think a hollowpoint would be as effective as a ballistic tip or a cor-lokit. And i dont think a slug would be 100% effective in short range as would buck shot or bird shot but bird shot might not have the penetration or brain damaging power as buck shot.
after further discussion, we settled on two possible targets for the rounds "question".
1. The physically dead but undead limp body feasting machines that are typically shown in majority of Zombie Apocalyptic movies and the likes. Wich leads me to believe that they have softer tissue and possibly bones? (asides from the sun baked zombie with leather skin) and no effect from bullet spread or shrapnel....ie blood loss.
2. The normal everyday human that is infected with some sorta rage or violent infection (similar to 28 days later) These are normal human beings that can sprint, run, swager, jog, use doors, stairs, and the likes. Witch leads me to believe that a violent round would do more damage than a clean brain shot.
