Nothing quite like creating a problem - then complaining about it. The firearms registry up here is a perfect shopping list for criminals (and has been proven to be cracked many times), so after creating the problem with the registry, now they use the new "problem" to say it's time to ban 'em...
uhh... not quite. We indeed elected the Conservative government, but their "promise" to dismantle the gun registry hasn't quite worked out that way....
Wrong. Utterly and completely incorrect. Feel free to check Stats Canada, but disarming law-abiding victims didn't do one blasted bit of good up here either, our violent crime-rate is soaring.

Not quite. The conservative party have proposed a bill which would eliminate the need for *paper* registration certifs for certain long guns. Not for handguns (which have been registered up here since 1934), or for all long-guns (including "evil" guns like the AR-15). It's a step in the right...
If I can stick my oar in (as a crazy canajan), it seems the most "important" amendment in the constitution is the 16th. If you could remove that, most of the other abuses would crumble in time... :)
Heck, I even read gun magazines in public up here in Canada :eek:
They're hard to find, though - porn, that's everywhere. Gun mags you have to really look for :uhoh:
