The other interesting thing is that even if true, it sounds terrible in absolute numbers, but in reality Glock is easily the most widely used handgun. The percentage incidence of Glock KB's is miniscule. Probably about the same as other manufacturers. And as already stated it's mostly ammo...
This is a known issue with some of the S&W AR models that are out of spec. In some cases they have offered to modify the firearm for owners that want to use them, but the rifle likely is the issue, not the mags. Do some googling, you'll find more.
Tepin,
You might take a look at Noveske Rifle Works. They have some pretty top notch AR-style .308's that have seen some proving time in Afghanistan with U.S. Forces. Noveske makes top notch stuff.
The Cory Maye thing comes to mind. SWAT went to wrong address, raided, and cop got shot and killed. Seems like the cops got it wrong but Cory Maye is serving life (his original death sentence has been overturned)
So,
There seem to be some people with real knowledge of the law here. Now answer me this:
Say the homeowner is a gun owner, grabs an AR and shoots a cop. the homeowner, it doesn't seem, would have done anything wrong. Is that the case?
I'm in no way advocating violence against police, but...
I think people are overstating Multnomah/Portland a little. It ain't that bad. I live down near corvallis but work in portland so I have a place up there too.
Also, no stupid "nuisance" clauses about carrying in banks/bars/ whatever.
Noops
Here's an excerpt from Hilton Yam, who's one of the better known gunsmiths for utility, 1911 fighting guns:
So as he said, you sure can find some good ones that work. But if you want a fighting gun that you're likely to put high round counts through, your probably better off with the longer gun.
While there are certain things they can emplace legally as rules, there are plenty of things they CAN NOT just make up as rules as a place of business. They can not themselves commit violations of the law such as Fourth and Fifth Amendment violations, and depending on the type of...
Golddog,
I have not noticed this. I train with the squeezer just like I train on a 1911 safety. On target, safety off. Low or out, safety on. I index my finger high up on the slide with either pistol (or any pistol for that matter), so even in that situation it's kind of moot.
HSO,
I've never had mine lock up, and I've done some 1000 round days with it, but I can also see how it might be like a impingement rifle like an AR. Definitely has very tight tolerances, and probably doesn't like a lot of dirt. Keep it clean and it'll run fine. I would definitely not put it...
HK prototyped it and there are 6 p7m7's (.45 P7 in existence). HK Has them all. If you get your hands on one, you'd better show it off!
Besides that, P7 is my daily carry. Love it. But find one and try it. They do have an odd manual of arms. The Squeeze Cocker is cocking mechanism, but...
Besides the subjugated clause in the second amendment mentioned above, there is also the definition of Well Regulated militia, which
Section 311 of US Code Title 10 which details Militia Classes states:
(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years...
Ajl,
I'm going to be the dissenter here. You got the wrong gun. Send me your H&K USP 45F and I will send you a Glock 19. Sweet problem solved.
Actually, I have 2 Glocks and 2 H&K's, and while the Glocks ARE great, I carry an H&K every day.
