A while back when I mentioned to a female friend of mine I had just come from a gun show, she said something to the effect of "I won't go to those places, a man got shot there". Now, I know what you are all thinking, and she is definably not an anti-gunner. While she does not own a firearm herself (her choice), she loves to go shooting with her fiancee. This struck me as a little out-of-character for her, so I did a little Google searching to see if I could find a news story referring to a shooting or a death at an Ohio gun show. I also searched High Road, I found the Massachusetts story, but that was a combination gun show/shooting event, no? It would probably have been in Columbus, but I didn't limit my search to just Cbus. I could not find anything, maybe I am not searching for the right things. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing at an Ohio gun show, specifically Columbus? That is, a person, an attendee, being shot and possible killed at a gun show? What about elsewhere in the country? The best I can figure, if it happened at all (pretty big if), is it must have been in the parking lot. Every show I have been to has been pretty good about checking for loaded firearms. Sure, human error and Murphy's Law can play a factor, I know. Has anyone ever seen this, or better yet, provide a web link, scan of an article or at least quote from a newspaper? Did this happen, or is it one of those "I heard it from someone I know, so it must be true" kinda deals?
