How do You Carry a Revolver Reload?

Reloads ?

I usually carry a S&W Mod. 38 in a pocket holster, and 5 rd. speedloader in an open plastic sandwich bag in the opposite front pocket. The "open" bag is to keep from an added action of tugging it open, and the bag keeps lint and other trash out of the loader, plus easy to grab out of the pocket.

Sometimes I carry a Kel-Tec P-32 the same way as the Mod. 38, but for reloads, a 10 rd. mag in the bag. Also, it has the belt clip carry thingie. :D

I don't normally carry one as my chances of needing a reload when CCing are next to nothing. 5 shots will do me just fine.

However, in the woods I have been open carrying my 686+ with 158 gr speers. My holster has 7 reload loops on it that I carry stocked. Again though, chances of even needing a gun are super small. I feel adequately armed at all times.

I do tend to avoid potential bad situations though. Head to the city during daylight hours. Try to be home from the woods before dusk when predators are most active.

I alternate carry between a Glock 26 and a S&W Model 60. When I carry the Glock, I carry a spare magazine in a cheap black nylon magazine pouch with velcro flap closure that I picked up at a gun show. When I carry the J Frame, I carry two 5 round speed strips in the same magazine pouch.

I usually carry my reload in a pair of 3 cartridge belt sliders that I made. It gives me options on where I pull my rounds from. I also made a 5 cartridge dump pouch for my .357. Not the fastest, but it's discrete.

Summer?

A speed strip in my right pocket.

Winter?

A speed strip in my right pocket, speed loader in my right jacket pocket, and a J frame in my left pocket.
