I use both speed strips and speed loaders depending on what I am wearing so i picked the other option.

Other/both. If toting another handgun, in addition to revolver #1, I am less inclined to carry speedloaders, and will tend to carry Speed Strips.

If the revolver is the only weapon, I want a speedloader, PLUS Speed Strips.

It also depends on the revolver itself. K-frame and larger sixguns speedload very quickly compared to more compact revolvers. With the littler guns, especially, I tend to see a Speed Strip as a very fast way to load two rounds very quickly.

I used to carry strips... until I took the speedloaders to the range and trained reloads with them. Now I carry 2 speedloaders in my weak side fron pocket... Unless I wear dress pants then I go back to the speed strips. The strips conceal better than the speedloaders of course.

Other: My SP101 in .357 is modified for moon clips. I don't carry it often of recent but when I do that is what I carry.

bainchi speed strips. Taurus ultra-lite titanium .38
I can't, for the life of me, understand how anybody could reload with "speed" using one of these strips. I'd like to see how that is accomplished. Anybody have a video?

Full moon .357 Mag clips, loaded with tapered truncated hollowpoints for easier and faster insertion into the revolver cylinder with a minimum of fuss.

I just tell people I've got an apple in my pocket. (Speedloader for the .500 S&W)

When I carry a revolver I carry 2 speedloaders with the S&W model 19 for town and with the model 28 in the woods. I find them faster to reload than the speed strips.

Hello friends and neighbors // Speed loaders in leather pouch rural/woods with .357.

City carry, one or two of these Mosin stripper clips with .38/.357.(they will hold six rounds tightly. strip.jpg cheap, easy to use, and no spilled ammo worries
Spray a little plastic kote or apply a little silicon caulk inside to reduce rattle. I haven't lost a round yet, I do recycle/replace with fresh rounds often and might look into a protective pouch.

why only 5 in the speed strip?

I believe the revolver pictured is a variant of the S&W 36, a five shot revolver. It maybe a M40 but there are too many numbers for me to be certain. Nice looking revolver no matter what the model #.

I get that StrawHat but more ammo is more ammo

The Ayoob video does show only 5 rounds but he leaves the one at the end empty so that he can get a better grip.

Good Question.

The space between the cartridges provides access for my index finger to guide and chamber the first two rounds a little quicker.
