Judge OKs Police Subway Searches in NYC

The New York Civil Liberties Union had challenged the searches, arguing that riders were being subjected to a pointless and unprecedented invasion of their privacy.

I have to give credit where credit is due. Although the ACLU and its sub-components do make a screw ball of a few things, they are taking a good stand on this one.

I hope they appeal it. (I'm sure they will)

I'm not so sure I agree. Given their over-all anti-American bent, you have to wonder if they are not just making a weak show of protest in the hope of ultimately losing. Call me paranoid, but that's my gut feeling. I hope I'm wrong, though.
