I sent the following correspondence to "Gun Stocks Inc". What do you think about the deal? Sounds pretty reasonable to me. I mean, you can spend a lot more on a stinkin' plastic rifle stock. Someone here posted an old double they'd had redone by these guys and I was rather impressed with it.
We can duplicate the stocks if they are useable as a patern, The duplicating costs for buttstocks are usually $85.00 & forends $45.00 in semi-finished plain walnut + shipping but I would need to see the gun to give a firm quote.
Duplicateing would require you to send us the gun without the barrels.

Subject: restocking an old shotgun
I have an old Felix Sarasqueta Spanish built double I bought back in 1971. The stock has beat around in the bottom of boats on duck hunts, ain't very pretty, and the fore end split. I drilled it and put a dowel through it to make it servicable. But, I'd really like to spiff this old gun up and make it semi presentable again.
I'm wondering about the cost of doing this?
Thanks.
