Kel-tec sub-2000. Nice shooter and it folds to fit into a laptop bag. Suggest the one that takes 9mm Glock mags.

There are a lot of good 9mm carbines out there. on the cheap hi points are ugly and clunky but generally shoot well, if you want more traditional styling n semi then theres the camp guns, if you like modern there are the JR carbines and a plethora of ar carbine varients, for a more compact gun the keltec is very nice for blasting.....take a look and see what u might like, that will give everyone a better idea as to what to suggest.

beretta cx4 Storm is the sweetest 9mm carbine I have had.
Kel tec I find to be junk
TNW aero , interesting, but not proven.
Just right carbine, takedown is awesome, reliable, uses glock mags.
Marlin camp 9 is awesome but pricey now days

Honestly, if you can find a cx4 storm, jump on it.

this is not a picture of mine, mine has a muzzle break and I usually have the 50 round mag instead of the 100 round mag which i think is somewhat unweildy , Amazing these roller locked bolt bottom ejectors are very reliable , at least with ball ammo and the 50 round mags feed most HP ammo well. A real fun gun for demo shooting ammo dumps. Yes i registered mine as an assault rifle in Ca in 2000 .

Calico M900 9mm Carbine. I consider these more fun than the HK 94 9mm I had before this and sold.

9mm carbines are good clean fun. Cheap to feed, too. I have a CX4 that takes Beretta 92 magazines, which is convenient since I have a pile of them for my Beretta pistols.

The CX4 Storm is a great carbine. Very easy to shoot, quite compact and very reliable. I have an Scorpion EVO pistol which I great so the carbine version should be terrific, too.

That's exactly how I keep mine during trips. A standard laptop bag will carry my Sub2000 with a 17 installed and two 33-round Glock magazines.

It's a wonderful peace of mind knowing you're not stuck protecting your wife and child with only a compact pistol if the location you're visiting gets a bit heated and undergoes some level of social unrest.

It really depends on your needs and what features you are looking for. I started off wanting just a 9mm carbine so I looked at the Hi Point. But I wanted a higher capacity gun. I came across the Kel Tec Sub 2K. I settled on that one for a while until I found the Mec-Tech CCU for Glocks. That seems to be the ticket because I am looking for something that resembles a tank but is still light enough to have in the truck. I really liked the folding feature about the Sub 2K but I want a gun that is more rigid. The Mec-Tech CCU is more optics friendly too.

I went with the Kriss Vector due to the compatibility with glock mags.. Although there are a number of AR manufacturers now a days offering that same capability.

My favorite is the cx4 but, if I am not mistaken, they stopped production some time back so they seem to be a bit harder to find. They are light, look great and use the same magazines as either the 92 or the px4. You can also buy adapters to use the other magazine if you are so inclined.

Believe it or not, I really like my hi point too. It is ugly looking but it is a lot of fun to shoot and, for the price, I don't know how they make them. It is one of my favorite range toys.

I've got a Colt AR6951 that I've set up exactly like my LE6920 for use as a trainer. I shoot the crap out of this gun and probably haven't cleaned it in a little over 1K, it just keeps running........

IF you've got an AR, and want to get "more" out of your 9mm carbine, I suggest sticking with the AR platform.

"...ugly and clunky..."

...the cheap hi points are ugly and clunky but generally shoot well,

This statement describes my Hi-point 995TS to a Tee,,,
It never jams and I can hit anything my friend with his Beretta C-9 can hit.

I also have a friend with one of those Kel-Tec 9mm folding carbines,,,
The accuracy and reliability of his carbine are very good,,,
But no better at all than the Hi-Point.

The common complaint about the Hi-Point,,,
Is the lack of any decent quality hi-capacity magazines.

And the ugly-clunkiness of them.

I had a rock river 9mm AR. Nice gun, but didn't do well with cheap 115 grain (fiochi, pmc). It loved 124 grain NATO +P. Would make a perfect HD long gun, in my opinion. Add some +P hollow points and a compact white light.

The hipoints are very popular here with pig hunters that run dogs, and as truck guns for dealing with pigs in traps and that get caught in fence corners. I dont think i know a single owner who dosent like theirs.

I had the high point in 9mm and mags were the only reason it wasn't awesome. Mine had a damaged extractor when i got it so not super reliable, but ok for range use. I cut down the forend a bit which made it less ugly, but i sold it. I also had an ar in 9mm that used some sort of modified machine gun mag, uzi i think, and the mag was HORRIBLE to load. I want another 9mm ar that takes glock mags...
