Hope I'm not giving inside information to a competitor. If you are bidding on one of these, please PM me and we can work together to not needlessly drive each other's cost up. I don't NEED any of them, so I'm open to options, and I'm a local buyer so if there's anything you want eyes on in person on this auction, I can help.

All have good bores. All are in good mechanical condition and complete as far as I can tell. All but #2 have minor issues precluding any serious collector value. #2 will likely go for more than I wish to pay, as it's pretty cherry.

Apparently I have a pump action itch. I already load for .300 Savage and love the round, so I am definitely on 3, even though cosmetic condition "needs work". I have a definite use for this rifle, and the 2x7 glass is perfect. I also like all things Savage, and don't own a pre-1920 one yet, so 1 intrigues me even though it's not high on my list to have another .22. Also don't know mu ch about Savage 14s. 4 is a Swede with a good bore and a matching bolt and nice walnut well done. Needs a re-crown maybe, D/T, and a new bolt handle to be a proper sporter, but my instincts say it's a solid rifle and will shoot well. I also load this round already and love it. 5 might be a diamond in the rough for someone who wants to hunt with a vintage rifle (like me), but I'd be adding a caliber and bore diameter to the stable which is dicey these days. It's better than the pictures. Honest wear, some surface scratches and spot or 2 of rust in the crannies, but good bore and mechanically sound. Action is SMOOTH! My base budget is 1K with room for the commission beyond that, so 2 may be an option. What would you do?

I like the 22 pump. And the Mauser. I like 760's too. I have one already .
Same problem I have. I like 'em all...and I have a wife...who knows how to shoot and where I keep the ammo...and which ammo goes in which gun.

Kind of leaning towards the Swede AND the 760, but I do like that savage if it stays cheap. If I could get that 141 in .35 for a good price, I'd be dumb not to. We'll see what a few days bring.

Honestly, none of them. The Mauser comes the closest, but it still kinda, meh, for me.
Yeah, these certainly aren't everyone's cup of tea. Not nice enough to interest serious collectors. Some condition issues in weird calibers. That's why I like them. I'm cheap, and like guns I can love to death. I find I'm hunting tighter and tighter cover as the years go by, so all are suitable there. Not sure where the pump action thing came from. Always though pump rifles were just weird, suddenly I think they're sexy. Must be getting old LOL.

#5 I have the same set up without the scope bases and extra holes that come with them. If they were done correctly they shouldn't hurt shootability. I have receiver sights on all my rifles and really enjoy shooting with them.

I’d buy what makes me happy, not what someone else thinks I should buy. Maybe that’s just me.

I’m not big into duplication. I personally see no reason to have a .270, .308, and .30-06. I’d rather have some variation. But again, that’s me. It’s your money. Do what makes YOU happy

I had a 760. In 35 Rem. For my neck of the woods it isn’t a hunter and the action wasn’t the best. Gone.

At one time I really wanted the CG, but not for me.

That .22 has my name written all over it. If I were local you’d have one less gun on your list above.

But you need to get the gun you fancy...

Greg

Is #5 missing the breech bolt? That bid is quit low. I see the pump handle is to the rear, but it looks pretty empty in that receiver.

#1. Hands down.

I love the magazine on thr 141s, and would probably pick the first one. I dont have a strong interest in any of these beyond thinking they are cool tho, so my opinions probably not real valid.....

Too many *yeah... but..." guns in there for me to slow down for any of them.

The last game-master but for the rails.

The 760 but for the .300.

The Mauser but for the excessive monte-carlo-ness.

The Savage is just plain ugly. Pains me too say that about any Savage.

Todd.
