First time walking past primers on the shelf.

That would be what? Your opinion? The common cry of those caught short every time this happens. Old news.

Ron

Hoarding is defined as excessive acquisition. It's just a word, and it's your choice to be offended by it or to not care.

And it's an amusing assumption, but an incorrect one that I was caught short. I run a 750 and haven't had to slow it down at all. That won't stop me from pointing out the obvious.

OK then my bad. Just never thought of myself as a hoarder because I stay well stocked with all my reloading supplies. My apologies.

Ron

All good man. I think my reply came off differently than I intended, and for that, I apologize. Nothing at all wrong with stocking up, and I obviously do the same and encourage others to do so as well.

I've just heard a lot of people talking about buying up stuff they don't even shoot and storing it, for no reason other than it was in stock. They'll tell you all about their stockpiles, too. Trade fodder, I get. These guys...I dunno.

Please dont encourage, this is my happy place... I immagine further discourse along these lines to be negative.
I’m having some cold Beers and Grilling/Smoking Steaks. Can’t get any happier than that

Please send some my way. I haven't seen any in my area in a while.
I wish I could send some people primers. On the bright side primers seem to be starting to show up again on shelves.

While that sounds great I am having a hard time with a rain/snow mix. It's May 9th! I want outdoor range weather. NE Ohio sucks about this time of the year.

I'm only about 100 miles from renoke and cci and federal were the last I found. Weird.
Eventually new primer production will shift back to where it was. Just about all domestic primer production was going into new manufacture ammunition. I guess as that demand falls off we should see primers returning to store shelves. Like everything else I doubt we will see cheap prices but they should be back. Heck a $3 2x4 is now a $6+ 2x4. Won't even mention a 3/4" sheet of plywood. Not sure how initial distribution will work out. :)

Believe the wood issue is a boarder issue and if they would entertain me I would just drive to the factory.

I haven’t even been in a store looking for powder, primers, bullets, or online shopping for any in a couple years. I’ve been doing this a while and learned a long time ago to keep a few years stock for times like this. The last primers I bought were 23.99 and I wasn’t thrilled, but got a few more expecting the older kids to join me at the range, and that hasn’t happened yet. Sorry for all you new folks getting into this late, it really is hard right now and the future doesn’t look great for us cheapskates used to very affordable ammo.

I don't have a crazy amount of components but I’m making it count. What Am I Buying lately.... GUNS!

No Ammo, over priced Ammo = Discounts!

Walked away from 1k SRP at Cabelas. 2 boxes on the shelf and one was gon before I was out of earshot of the firearms counter. I’m looking for specific powders and primers. I’m feeling optimistic enough to be picky.

Don’t forget about the 3 never primer factories coming online this SUMMER!

Soon People, Primers will flow like cheap beer at a pre-demic college keg party

And back in 2019, ammo companies were handing out rebates to get people to buy ammo, but yet some how we are gonna be able to support 3 primer factories.
