This target was shot in 1984, but I don't think it was posted here. The 4 new strikes were shot by my two granddaughters in their teens, standing, leaning against the back of my covered pickup body, shooting at this "braced" ram, 182 yards away. Two shots each from my .223 Rem 700 VLS with handloads, standing...shooting off a single sandbag.
To my knowledge, neither had fired a centerfire before, but I'd given them brief rimfire instructions that day. I'd like to think that there may have been something in their genes, but I'm impressed.
The younger one is now a base guard in the Air Force. The elder recently graduated from college and just employed by a national company this week. (This grandfather is both impressed and proud of both...for all their efforts/abilities.)
