This was a really tragic event and my heart and prayers go out to the victims, their families and the survivors. I don't know what to say,
Nothing else to say other than that.

So what do you and Alexànder propose? A law that demands every picture of you that was ever taken, to be judged and approved by a bureaucrat before you can exercise any gun right? One of the responses that I typed and deleted was about the kids picture. And look at the before and after pictures of the parents!
This was no small part of why Nikolas Cruz wasn't dealt with more firmly at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas.
America has always been a "rough" society. There is no perfect safe society.
Yes he did and yes they were, but I cringe when I see the term used because of its obvious anti-gun legislative connections, and don't think you're being singled out, because the term was used by a conservative news channel (OAN) commentator, too. I just wish we, as a pro-gun community, could come up with a better term to identify signs and actions indicative of individuals that are at risk for committing some gun-related act of criminal violence.
This is yet another example of why making schools "safe zones" for shooters is a bad idea. Let’s face it, when some sicko decides he wants to shoot people where better than a place where it is guaranteed that law abiding citizens will be unarmed and defenseless.
Well, when all is said & done, we as responsible gun owners need to address this issue and begin calling out those who we know ignore or even condone & foster the behavior that leads to these incidents.

Time to put feelings and biases aside. There is no perfect safe society. And judging people by their booking photos?...come on man.
[QUOTE="armydog, post: 12133116, member: 279513"]This situation is exactly what the liberals have been praying to the heavens to bring them. This prosecutor can't even contain her glee. She's not upset at all that kids were killed in the classroom, she is just happy it was with a gun by a white kid. During the press conference she appeared as if she was in a debate trying to hammer home how horrible the opposition is. lol
All 3 are about to get KR'd in the media.
Like I have told my friends... you can't trust your kid to be around guns unsupervised no matter how good a kid you think they are. It's your damn job not to trust them. And this kid... geez. This is all just a gift to the left.
IMO - If the parents are culpable then Baldwin is culpable
Michigan apparently doesn’t have any sort of safe storage law. That means essentially you could tack a nail on your front porch then hang a loaded Glock from it without fear of legal consequences. It seems pretty inadequate to me that something like that can’t be treated as a crime, because that’s essentially why they did. They left a handgun and ammunition freely available to a 15 year old moron. They deserve some of this blame, and if the law doesn’t allow that blame to be placed on them then the law has some flaws that need to be fixed. She also described the Michigan gun laws as being "woefully inadequate ". If you've been around for a while, you'll know that is code for no law being good enough. Gun laws don't save lives, common sense saves lives....last i heard, you can't legislate common sense.
I'm not sure what other point your trying to make. lol
Yeah, we should now base gun laws on pictures of what kids look like. lol
I believe the parents are at fault. What I did was highlight what the prosecutor said. For what purpose was she highlighting, during the press conference, the "woefully inadequate" gun laws in her state. I think she has an agenda. Is she really taking great pains not to offend legitimate gun owners or is she making the case for stricter gun laws? I was replying to someone when I wrote this.Michigan apparently doesn’t have any sort of safe storage law. We, as gun owners, need to be at the forefront of weeding out those who, like this kid, clearly should not have guns. It's in our enlightened self-interest to prevent incidents like this. But, I'll be the first to admit that it's not easy to design a filter that would weed out the unworthy, but not trample on the rights of the rest of us. Maybe it can't be done. But then we'd be accepting that a casualty rate of x is the price of freedom. (Honestly, it probably is. Nobody wants to state it that way.)Well, when all is said & done, we as responsible gun owners need to address this issue and begin calling out those who we know ignore or even condone & foster the behavior that leads to these incidents.
The PSYOPS started days ago. lolWoefully inadequate “safe storage” laws? Really?...
So how far down this rabbit hole does some micromanaging petty tyrant wanna go? I can see it now:
“Oh, I only mean “reasonable” safe storage laws, not anything horrible.”
Uh huh. Until safe storage means you can only keep a firearm in a safe at a local club.
Please. Knock it off. We can have safe storage laws for vehicle keys, chainsaws, and kitchen knives too.
