GB has a Colt Boa .357 up for auction.
Currently 63 bidders now at
$30,000 +. I am among them.

Fair warning, if anyone here outbids
me, three days to go, I'm going to
find you and punch you in the tummy
hard, really hard, really really hard.
So get out of my way!:(:(:(:(:(

Pretty bold of you to assume I have 30,000.01$ at my disposal.

Pretty gun, to me it looks just like a 6" Python. What's the difference?

I hope you get it and don't worry about getting outbid by me.

The finish is beautiful, but it's a Colt and thus the cylinder release goes the wrong way. :neener: I struggle to see how its worth a fraction of the current bid price and wouldn't trade you a well worn Model 10 for it. Good luck in winning your auction, "one man's trash is another man's treasure."

In all honesty @UncleEd , what makes this worth the 30k$+?

It's just a freaky collectors' item, a hybrid Python with
non Python (Trooper) lock work. Not many were made
and it was among Colt' s last gasps at revolver
making until the recent resumption a few years
ago.

I'm not a Colt fan, as my postings indicate, but
I found it interesting so many bidders on a gun
few shooters at the time gave two hoots about.

But to be fair, a real Colt fan needs to jump in
and explain the Boa's fascination.

I assure you, at $30,000.00, you have nothing to fear from me.

Thanks for that. I actually saw this auction on GB earlier today and had no idea how it differed from a Python. I was going to look it up but got distracted.

I could not afford that gun. Even if I could I couldn’t afford the divorce or the heating bill for my house as it would be very cold for a very long time if a divorce did not occur.
I had a similar reaction. For a brief moment I thought "maybe if it were the 4" version"; then I remembered that over the years I've gotten used to sleeping inside the house.

Thanks for the heads up! Guess after I get punched in the tummy really really hard, I can sue you for damages. The gun will practically pay for itself.

I have to wonder that the taxes will on that thing?

Turn line looks very prominent- It shouldn’t have one at all. Plus it should have solid gold bullets in silver cases…A box or at least a cylinder full. Pretty silly in my opinion. To each there own.
