Most rounds you have put through a particular handgun

I haven't done a good job of keeping count but I have a few that have several thousand each through them. This estimate is from looking back through my reloading log.

I bought my Glock G44 back in late February 2020 and I have been trying to wear it out. I'm somewhere between 15,000 and 20,000 rounds fired through the G44 so far. I haven't had any problems with it that was not ammo related.

Otherwise the firearm I have put the most rounds through myself would be the M60, but I wasn't paying for ammo either.

Phoenix hp22a. By far. I have worn 2 out. The first one was my first handgun and I didn’t shoot it unless I was burning up a full milk carton of $8 500 rd bulk. Usually Winchester. It had about 13000 through it when the slide rails needed touched up. 10,000 after that before the next touchup. Another 10,000 and the gun is pretty well used up. 33000 rounds through a $89.95 gun that was not well maintained along the way… yeah I’ll take it. The first was satin nickel. The second was black. The black gun seemed to wear faster but not by an extreme amount. I tweaked it earlier as a preventative maintenance type job and it did well for a long time. I sold it long before it needed rails tweaked again. I now have my 3rd but don’t really shoot it. I basically got it for the kids and they like it. My 9yr old is a great shot with it. So good in fact that she says it’s kinda boring. I have to take golf balls now and let her bounce them around until she can’t see it anymore.

My 22 race gun, a CWA upper on a GSG lower, has close to 10,000 rounds through it. Still extremely accurate and very fast. However, there is an H&R 9 shot revolver in our family. The first time I shot it I was 8 yrs old (I'm 66 now). It was the first gun most of my 12 siblings and most of their 68 or so kids shot. I used it at a Pin shoot in 2018 or 2019. I'd bet good money it has 100,000 rounds through it.

That is a beautiful tool! I am looking it up right now. If it is smaller than my S&W SD9VE I might want to get one.

I would say it's considerably smaller than a S&W SD9VE. Think more like a medium size frame; like a Walther PP or a Bersa Thunder .380.

This is it in a family photo compared to a Beretta Stampede Single Action:

Good thread to ask: How the hell do you all have round counts? I have a logbook for my precision rifle, and... that's it. I can guess about others but I could be off by a hell of a lot.

Is everyone else also guessing, or do many of you keep logbooks or...what?

When I was shooting IDPA I would put 2000-3000 rounds a year …

Same for me only we were shooting 45 ACP. I was shooting a Kimber and my son a Rock Island. We decided to do a torture test ….How long before cleaning needed?

At about 1000 rounds of S&B factory 230 ball, the barrel bushing started to prevent my Kimber from closing all the way. Rock Island was still fine. Cleaned both guns.

A testament for the loose as a goose Colts we shot in the military :)

I dont normally keep track. I only ever kept a somewhat count on those two Glocks, just based on how many rounds I normally shoot through them each week/month.

I used to shoot a lot of military and high power type matches back in the 80's and 90's, and kept a pretty close record of what I loaded for those rifles, but even then, it was about the same as the Glocks as far as an "accurate" count goes. And in both cases, they are more "light" than "heavy", as I often shoot more in between. .

I couldn't say with pinpoint accuracy the exact number for any of my guns, because I don't really track it for most of my guns but I do keep a loose tally for my Glocks and Ar's. My G17 probably has somewhere between 6K-7K through it, I've had it for over a decade but I don't shoot it as often as my G19, which has probably caught up to the G17 by now even though I got it years later. The G19 is the perfect Glock in my opinion. I think if I was going to have one Glock that's the one to have.

I would say that my 9mm handguns are my favorite guns to shoot, 9mm seems to be the thing I most often run low on but my shooting is more spread out between AR's, Shotguns, .22LR's, etc..... My glocks haven't seen much action lately though. :(. I'll start tearing through a case this spring though. Can't wait....

I really have no idea, but a fair guesstimate...

My Browning Buckmark likely has 25000 rounds through it. I bought it when I was stationed at Fort Carson, and I/we would pump at least a brick of .22's through it almost every weekend... that was, back when you could buy a brick of Winchester Super-X at Service Merchandise for $10, or less on sale.

The runner-ups would have to be my first Kimber 1911, likely in the neighborhood of 8000 rounds, and my 4" S&W 57 .41MAG prolly around 4-5000.

I like that holster. Would you tell me what company made it?

I found it on ebay in December of 2020, I looked for a maker's mark but couldn't find any markings on the holster except for the US stamp, not sure if the seller is still active but here is a screenshot of my past order... you could look up the seller and ask them.

I don't keep a strict count on my handguns, but most likely my Ruger 22/45 has the most, it's the cheapest to shoot by far and has quite a few thousand through it. My CC guns are probably next, because I maintain proficiency with them, they are a Ruger SR40C and a SA EMP4.

My two long range rifles have round counts in the 2-3 thousand range each; a M1A and a custom AR 6.5 Grendel.

No idea. I have a Hungarian High Power and a Russian commercial Makarov that I bought in 1988 and 1989 respectively. For many years I only had half a dozen handguns, so those two got shot a lot. I still shoot them sometimes.

I don't know how many thousands of rounds apiece I've shot through them, but the count must be very high. They both still function perfectly. I won't live long enough to wear out the Makarov (other than maybe replacing a spring or two eventually).

The first hand gun I ever bought myself was an original Ruger .22. Thing was pretty well used when I got it in early 70's. I had it about 15 years and ran untold rounds through it. I was buying a few cases of ammo a year and a hell of a lot of it went to that pistol. Even after I later bought better pistols I regularly would burn a couple or 3 hundred through that old one. Someone finally just had to have it and paid me too much to not let it go. Nothing ever wore out on it though. Not sure it would be really possible to wear one of them out. When I met the Wife I bought a MKII to teach her how to shoot. That was in 95. That one I lost track of how many cases of ammo it has to have eaten by now. It too will probably be working when I shuffle off. During the great Clinton ban I bought a P89 just to have one double stack 9. That I have burned untold cases of ammo through too. Springs got worn at one time and I put new in from Wolf several years ago. That too will probably be pumping when I quit. Some pistols are pretty damn hard to wear out. :D

120,000 rounds through Glock 17 when I shot USPSA in the 90s using Montana Gold jacketed bullets. I sold it to another match shooter worried that I wore out the rifling but he tested for accuracy and was happy so he used as his match gun.

I replaced the G17 with two Glock 22s and proceeded to shoot hundreds of thousands of rounds through both.

I couldn’t tell you an accurate count. I have a .40 Cal. Browning Hi Power that made my first trip to Chapman Academy, around 1997 or so. I had 2,000 rounds with me and came home with less than 200.
I shot NRA action pistol for 10 years, used a S&W 6” barrel 686 with wings and a red dot. When I think about all the practices and matches, the round count must have been way up there. Kept me busy reloading 38 special every week.

I do keep track of rounds through my competition guns. Because I have a schedule to change out springs and other wear items. I hate when something I should have replaced breaks and costs a match.

A Kahr K9---25,000 + rounds thru it.
Ruger mkll Government---100,000+ rounds through it.

My round counts are approximate. I write it down every trip. I'd say +/- 3%.

I do have Ruger SR9c that I have no idea what the count is but have 5000 ish since I started counting :)

I have a Springfield 1911 in 9mm that is over 7k rounds and an original Shield in 9mm that is over 5k rounds. Not one issue with either.

I never kept a round count but my 1976 Ruger Single Six Convertible was fired so much over the years it became out of time. Ruger took it back for tuning at no charge. HAPPY CAMPER;)

I had a mk3 that I'd shoot 500+ rds every other weekend for a couple years straight
Sometimes 1000.
I estimate I had about 25-30k through that one, wanted a different model so I sold that one... For $20 less than I paid for it. I did tell the guy I shot it a lot but it was still looking good and he didn't care.

I'm over 3,000 rds through my 454 super redhawk, that's a lot of shooting for a gun like that. It hasn't given up a thing- that's one tough chunk of steel.

My gp100 , I couldn't guess. Easily 10,000. Possibly more, I always shoot that one.

I've got a mk3 that I've owned since 2013ish and I'm sure it's got 10-20k through it but I don't keep track. I bought it to be the last 22 pistol I'd ever need

Lost count though roughly 16K, still a long ways to go.
That’s a gorgeous gun. What is it?
