.I officially hit day 90, and still counting on two of the three. Submitted 2/8 (self e-file). At this rate, my paper form 4 will come back before these do. The tin-foil side of me wonders if they are waiting till after the end of the month, come up with some BS reason not to approve then say sorry, open registration is closed.
51 days approved today for the PC Charger.
No approval on the AR pistol yet and it was submitted first. They have the same ATF control numbers.
FYI....the models that appear in the drop down menu aren't ATF's models, not even suggestions, just model names entered by other applicants. You could type in "JoeBiden-15" and if enough other applicants use that name it will appear as a model on the drop down.I submitted four Form 1(s). I'll try to leave as much detail as possible.
- Submitted all four on May 31, 2023 as an "individual" via eFile. I filed on my own via the website to avoid wasting $200 going the SilenceCo, so I filled out the forms on the ATF's website by myself.
- I included a photo of the markings on the receiver only, i.e, model, caliber, serial number), on two submissions only. I didn't supply them any pictures of the firearms on the other two submissions.
- One went to "PENDING RESEARCH" and the rest "SUBMITTED/IN PROCESS" still on May 31st. I didn't submit a photo for the "PENDING RESEARCH" firearm. It went into the RESEARCH status because the firearm wasn't already listed in the drop down menu, so I had to manually typed it in.
- Paper prints that were done by my local police department for $35 for 6 fingerprint cards via their computer system. Prints were received by ATF exactly 10 business days and 15 full days later on June 14, 2023.
The way it's been explained is the models in the drop down menu are models the ATF previously did "research" on thus the "PENDING RESEARCH" status won't be triggered for the Form 1 application. If the model from the drop down menu matches what's on the firearm, you're good to go, of the option isn't there for your specific firearm, you have to put it in manually and wait for the ATF to research and confirm.FYI....the models that appear in the drop down menu aren't ATF's models, not even suggestions, just model names entered by other applicants. Simply choosing one of the model names from the drop down is a huge mistake. You MUST accurately show the model name of your firearm. This means exactly as it appears on your firearm. Picking a model because its a close match may lead to disapproval of your form.

All 3 of mine that were submitted on 3/27 came back approved on 6/16. 82 days.
Also I'll note that they were all filed under my trust.
I submitted the day after you. With luck, one day soon mine will come in.

It's probably some automated systemHopefully so. I did find it a bit odd that the email notification was sent between 0402 and 0409 central time, I didn't know government employees worked at 0500 outside the military.
Has anyone seen any released statistics about how many form1's BATFE has received?
Mine was submitted 05/09/2023 and approved 06/16/2023 by Amanda Thomas said:Five weeks, not too bad. That's about where I am, I waited until mid-May looking to see if there was any action taken prior to June. I assumed there's a backlog near the deadline as well. We will see,
