Besides the Tok 33 and the CZ 52? Any other pistols use this fantastic round?

There were a couple of 1911's converted to that by the NVA during the conflict. Now there is also an AR-15 uppper in that caliber. As well as the PPS43 Pistol.

Gik-tal, I STRONGLY doubt that claim. The Tokarev magazine is too long to fit in the 1911's grip, and the Tokarev round just pops out of a 1911's magazine due to its smaller diameter. I have both next to me and I just checked. This, coupled with the fact that someone last year on here was talking about wanting a 1911 converted to 7.62x25 and everyone told them that the round was too long for the action. It's simply not true. It cannot be done.

As for guns chambered in it, I'm pretty sure that, besides that one Sterling, the CZ-52 and Tokarev itself are it.

this is a poor example of a 1911 in 7.62x25 but the DO Exist

Okay, now that's disturbing. What I don't understand is why it wasn't easier and cheaper to make a whole new gun. That doesn't even make sense. If you're going to go to all that effort to make a 1911 into a Tokarev, why not just make a Tokarev? I own both, and in all honesty, there's no functional advantage the 1911 has over the Tokarev. For all intents and purposes, they're the same gun. The manual of arms is identical. Both are accurate, both are reliable with the round they're designed for. The Tokarev is a little lighter weight and smaller, equivalent in size to a Commander-length 1911. But for all practical purposes, they're the same.

Well there is still the mauser pistol 96 but I would not shoot any newer hot tokariv loads in one though in their day they did take some pretty warm loads that where pretty much 9mm+p.

I don't have a whole lot to add here. There's not much interest from the major pistol manufacturers for this round. The GLock 20 frame is large enough to handle the round and the pressures generated, but the magazines are just a hair too small to take the round. Otherwise, that would be perfect. The FN 5.7 might be another potential pistol too.

I have seen some "good" examples of the converted 1911. Although I must agree what a waste of a good pistol.
The AR15 chambered in 762x25 has caught my attention but not sure about the pistol version. Again with the option of a PPS43, why?

On the subject of Tokarev, I finally worked up the courage to order some SPAM cans of it from ammoman and they're out of stock now.

Anyone have a source for cheap surplus Tokarev, even if corrosive? I have the CZ52 and M57, plus I'm looking for a standard-size Tok ... it is time to embrace the surplus stuff.
