What gun conversations/threads do you not engage in? Not trying to be ironic.

For instance...

Im done with the caliber wars. 9 or 40 or 45? Yes they are all good.
I can't do ak47 vs ar15. Yes they are both good.
What's the perfect (insert use) gun? Lots of them and it depends on the user.

I still enjoy gun talk in real life and on the ultranet but now im more interested in shooting IDPA, carrying more and enjoying the guns I have, setting them up to serve me well and no longer searching for the perfect ones.

This isn't criticism. I have many of you (and TFL members) to thank for the knowledge I picked up along the way. I asked lots of newbie questions, was once a certain manufacturer fanboy and did hours (probably more like months) of research/reading/responding about the best calibers and guns myself.

Where are you at in terms of the discussions you participate in and how does that reflect on where you're at in this hobby/lifestyle?

Watch your lane.

I was guilty of trying to be a one rifle guy for a long while!

Funny how I think so many of these threads could be settled at the gun range.

Watch your lane.

I find the Caliber Verses Capacity and the Any Caliber I Carry Has To Start With A 4 threads to be boring an overdone. They are almost as bad as the Glock Perfection and There Is Nothing Better In The World Than A 1911 threads.

Cleaning threads

Any firearm that I'm not interested in.

Polls that limit the choices to just a few.

Any thread that uses terms like "POS" or "hate" or "junk".

Me too.

I won't play the "if you could only have one gun" game. Or two, or five, or 99.

Yep.

There is other stuff on here I avoid, but those are the big ones for me.

In real life, there are all sorts of stuff that I avoid. I have a finite amount of heartbeats left, and I don't want to waste them on silly stuff with people I don't really know. However, I do like arguing with friends about stuff. More like breaking each others balls, but close enough I guess.

I also avoid playing Internet Price is Right.
I don't know what a gun is "worth" in a different market. Actually I don't know what anything is "worth" unless I am interested in buying one for myself.

We are often told that there is no such thing as a stupid question but "I just bought this, what is it worth?" is awful close. Almost as bad as "I just bought this, what did I get?"

I know what you mean... What is worth 1000.00 to one man may not be worth 2 pinches of puppy poop to me.

I won`t do the caliber/cartridge thing any more, no one knows the difference................

I used to pop in to a 1911 modification thread and say, "Or you could just buy a Glock", but I have stopped doing that :).

Just my .02,
LeonCarr

Threads that do not interest me.

I do kind of wish that other people would do the same. I get tired of reading posts where all people do is ___ about the topic, say how silly they think it is...and that's it. If that's the case...don't post?

What is the least amount I can spend to get a decent rifle, shotgun, pistol?

Then the argument digresses into a discussion about how brand X which is three times cheaper than brand Y is just as good if not better.

What's the most accurate out of the box rifle or pistol thread is another one I dont participate in. I'm guessing 90% of us will never shoot up to what our equipment is capable of.

"BoreSnakes are better" and "Glocks are Perfect for old ladies" is it for me.

No matter how many times you thoughtfully explain they are not, it keeps on.

SO I gave up!

I just went out and bought a Glock and a BoreSnake.

Now I got the best of everything there is for anybody.

If only Glock sold a Glock Perfection BoreSnake!

Yea! Thats the ticket!

HAHAHAHA!!!! It must also be equipped with a built in borelight, and a electronic measuring device that tells you the exact ammo to use for optimal function of that particular firearm.:D
