What do you do with your "decals"?

Logo stickers are a vestige of the old speed parts companies like the Moon eyes and Venolia pistons. I have a few on the inside of my ammunition locker, and a few under the lid of a toolbox. Some are fun but most get pitched.

I throw them away. I do not advertise for free, especially when I have to pay for what I use. Same thing with clothing attire, no visible label that can be seen. When I buy a new vehicle I ensure they don't have the dealers name on it. If they insist , I insist on an additional $2000 off or I go elsewhere.
Spot on. Think about these young people who tatoo their bodies with Monster drink logos etc.

Well, I feel sorta the same way about the freakin' car dealer's license plate frames (who among us has ever thought we got that great a deal from a car dealership that we want to advertise them for free?)

But the stickers I get when I purchase new guns, optics, whatever? I'm also making a political statement by displaying them. Do I put them on my motor vehicles? No. But do I put them on something? Yes.

Now, mostly I only display these decals in my own home or on a few gun cases that only go to ranges full of like-minded folks, but hey, some of y'all take this crap way too seriously. Lighten the heck up.

Mine go on the wall mounted cabinet where I keep assorted loading/cleaning supplies and a cabinet where I keep ammo. I like the appearance of my gun safe enough it’s sticker free. (It’s not that fancy, but neither am I)

Since I'm long out of police work I can remember when we were actually warned against having any decals (or anything mentioning police affiliation) on our private vehicles down here in paradise (south Florida) nearly fifty years ago now. Seems a loosely affiliated group of bad actors had figured out they had a much better chance of scoring a weapon or some kind of police gear (ballistic vests, radios, jackets with police logos, etc.) if they targeted vehicles with some kind of weapons decal, or police union stickers, etc.

This was just before things got crazy down here in the late seventies and we really did have armed robbers dressed as cops (and also a few cops that were armed robbers...). As we moved into the eighties the bad guys didn't need to steal the gear - they just borrowed it from relatives who were real cops - or bought wholesale the gear they needed (there was that much money being made on the street back then..). That TV show, Miami Vice was really a pale reflection of what was actually happening down here. Exciting times if you survived and were fortunate enough not to find yourself in the middle of a "miami special" dope deal somewhere. The miami special - no one brings drugs, no one brings cash- both sides are armed to the teeth and planning on ripping off each other...

Very glad I'm long out of that world - but even all these years later I wouldn't consider placing any kind of weapons or shooting sports decals on any vehicle I own. Just not a good idea in the big city...

I enjoy receiving the company "inserts" but I don't plaster my car or computer with them, so I had quite a little pile of gun company decals/bumperstickers filling a folder. It was a cloudy Sunday here so I and did something with them to hang in my reloading room....not that there's much wall space. Total cost $5 for the poster frame and $4.00 for the spray adhesive and a half hour of my time. Best part is that I can probably still use the stickers someday if I wanted since the adhesive is like a spray-on rubber cement.

Yes, I buy a lot of gun crap. I only put up two Magpuls, but could have put up 50....every stock and grip has one included.

What do you think? How many logos can you ID on sight?
I've got a ton of those too and like you, don't put them on my car. I put some on my tool chest and ammo boxes, safe. I've got a bunch of Geissele stickers because he sends alot of stickers and swag with each order, so does BCM.

When I was building onto my place I envisioned a gun room/office and was gonna put em up in there but I opted for a bigger bedroom. I'll find a place for em. Might make a work shed or something and put em up in there

Advertise for free? Nowadays they sell hats and shirts with logos on them. You have to pay to advertise for them.

The stickers that are on my gun safe are pretty much all that I have 20231015_223241.jpg
I don't go out looking for them and I don't collect them but if the company is going to give them to me I'll put them someplace.

This is the only one that I would actually go out of my way to buy. They sell them at a homestead supply store downtown where we buy all our raw honey. I told my wife the next time I go down there I'm coming home with one of those stickers

It's going to go right under the Molon Labe sticker.

I was watching one of those cop shows on YouTube one day and I noticed that the female cop had a Safariland sticker on the computer in her cruiser. I thought that was kind of funny

All the safes are covered and overlapping in places. My breaker box in my leather shop is covered as is the inside of the metal security door in my shop. And everytime a buddy comes by I give away alot. Been needing to make a hook and loop board for the box full of morale patches got the velcro just haven't taken time to put it all together yet.

Most are currently in a manila envelope in the same storage box I keep my purchase documentation.

I stuck five of them on a couple of small white aluminum plates and mounted them inside surface of my workshop door (lower right.) They are acting as substitute metal signs for a few companies otherwise not represented in this 'shooting gallery'.

i stick them on my range ammo box. every one that sees an ammo box knows it is already gun related.
