Well safety first of course, but it's called the real world.Welcome to THR. Yours is only the second video I've ever seen embeded here .
I've only ever been to public ranges with no range officer, but I have relatives that have the "2 second" rule you speak of.
Oh yeah, can can spoil a good days shooting. The 2 second rule is not so much for rifles. Ever been next to someone who doesn't know how to shoot a handgun other than you "pull the trigger as fast as you can like in the movies"? It can get scary real quick. Like, ducking under your bench scary.
WOW, I'd be having WAY more fun if I had over 100 acres HaHa.On my puny 110 acres I've managed to build one 135yd range and a second deep 40yd pit.
The only other place I go is the local outdoor FOP range.
What's this "2 second rule" you speak of?
I'd get on that my friend, I love it.. So much freedom.LOL< My wife and I are looking to build a home here shortly, and i told her i just want 2 acres, just enough for a 100 yd range...... I'd settle for 50 if i had too...
prehaps a private range in some ways may be better than a members only...depending on how it is equiped.
not tp pop your bubble but at the 22 second mark (and agang later) it rather looks like you are sweeping the mans' legs to the left of you. that you have your trigger finger indexed properly is good....but it does not negate muzzle control.
good luck to you.
"But it's called [strike]trigger[/strike] muzzle control my friend..."
Safety is layered for a reason.
Having said that, I don't see any actual muzzle failures in the vid.
I should remember to think twice, post once. Disregard.
I'm a member of a private range and I'm so glad there aren't stupid rules like the '2 second rule'.
Is it Halloween already?Oh the joys of having your own range, no 2 seconds rules here

What you MUST do under combat conditions is a wee bit different from best practices on the range.Oh God, I'd hate to see how you guys would tear apart my videos from Afghanistan with the safety concerns!
