In my area $30 to $32 seems to be the going rate at the local stores who won't hurt their customers. The guys who just don't care are charging between $38 and $42 per/k.Hello all. What is the goi g price on 1k of small and large pistol primers you guys are finding? Looking they are around 42 per 1k locally.

I'm sure the prices on the West coast are always a bit higher than here in PA. Before the election I was paying no more than $28/k so $38/$40 is high around here especially since they can be had for $32/k. Since both stores are buying from the same vendor you know the stores with the higher prices are charging too much...Ummm... last time I bought any at my local Turners here in California they were $42.50/K. My LGS sells 'em for $33-ish... when he has them. There's the rub.
$50/K is considered a decent deal on my local WTS board. It's not what somebody paid for 'em, it's what it'll cost to replace 'em. Right now that's an unknown.
Last time around, the Great Primer Drought of '09, it was LPP that were unobtanium. This time it's SRP that are gold. Everybody reloading 5.56/.223.
