So, back in October/November i ordered a PSA lower for my birthday. It was "blemished" and only costed me $67 after shipping, and then a $30 transfer fee. Heres where nice people come in.

A buddy of mine sent me some extra parts he had laying around. A PSA fire control group, a MOE handle and a MEGA charging handle.

Then the owner of http://www.dreadnaught-industries.com/Guns.htm gave me a standard trigger guard to add to it.

A few weeks later i contacted a member on the local board about a wooden stock for my kids 10/22. i offered to pay for it, but he told me to just swing by and pick it up.

Recently i posted a want to buy thread for a super cheap LPK for my lower so i could complete it. I posted on the local board and an offtopic forum in their gun subforum. A user from the OT forum sent me a message and offered to send me some things. I received a message a few days later saying the package was sent, along with a few extras.

THANK YOU GUNNIES!!! YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME PEOPLE!!! I DONT CARE WHAT FEINSTEIN SAYS ABOUT YOU, YOURE ALL COOL IN MY BOOK!

Often, yes.

Back in GunScare 2008 I started to get concerned that I may not be able to buy a full power centerfire "range rifle" in the future. I did a bunch of research and determined that the Saiga .308 was the rifle for me.

I went to the LGS in town that stocked them (for the first time) and his computer was down. I offered to fix his computer if he'd give me some consideration on the firearm. He sold it to me at cost, and I had his computer fixed within the hour. We both ended up quite pleased by the transaction.

Don't judge a book by its cover

Let's not forget that we live in America, where people have the freedom of choice. My step-mom would do anything to help me out but she is about anti-gun as it gets. Her oldest daughter is about as pro gun as it gets, her son is just like her.

My brother is pro gun but my sister in law has come right out and told me that my guns aren't welcome in there house. Both are good people.

My wifes best friend is a retired school teacher and about as anti-gun as it gets, her husband, pro gun. Both would bend over backwards to help someone in need.

To consider a person bad just because they may have a different view on certain issues is closed minded and the main reason our country is in the mess it's in.

just my thoughts

Yes as Albert said, some people who don't care about the Constitution are still good people. Still, I prefer to mingle with like minded folks. :)

My wife went to the range with her Christmas present(s&w m&p 40) and all I had for ammo was some wolf that didn't work so well in her pistol. A gentleman walked up to her with about 150 rds and gave them her.this was about 2 weeks ago. She is New to shooting this impressed her so much that she brought extra for other people who might need it. She is a good woman and paying it forward.

I don't think anyone was saying that antis were not good/nice people. This thread is just to say that despite what MSM or the vehement antis would have you believe, gun owners are not just ticking timebombs of mass murder

We are all ambassadors whether we like it or not. The antis constantly accuse us of being evil people so we have to go the extra mile. I handle injunctions for domestic violence pro-bono (only one at a time but I did ten last year), and I also handle child support enforcement without an upfront fee (private enforcement is often faster than waiting on the state) granted I make the deadbeats pay me because God bless you can enforce attorney's fees for child support with contempt. I let all the women know I'm a gun owner and NRA certified firearms instructor, and I have gotten a few students out of it.

Always be a better person tomorrow than you were today because antis are always looking at all your yesterdays.

Only mingling with like minded people is the reason that America is in the current mess it is in. The United States Constitution was based on COMPROMISE. A word that no longer has a definition in the American dictionary.

People who believe that the 2nd amendment is the constitution aren't "Patriots" even though they may think and say they are, for a true "Patriot" would believe and follow the entire constitution along with all of its amendments.

Without the Preamble, the Articles, and the Amendments, intact as a complete document, THERE IS NO UNITED STATES OF AMERICA but just a well armed lawless land!!!!!!

Speech is Free, Actions have costs and can also have Consequences,
