I just scored an 8 lb jug of Bullseye to use for my .45acp and 9mm loads. Since it's a commonly used powder for .45, there is a lot of load data available for that caliber. I know it isn't necessarily a "preferred" powder to load 9mm and for that reason, I've found some data, but not enough to suit me. I'm a member of quite a few forums, but for my money the most knowledgable people post on this one so I'm gonna put out the call for some help in developing a load. I use X-treme plated round nose 115gr bullets and an OAL of 1.142 to 1.148 which works best with the four guns I shoot them through. X-treme recommends velocity up to 1200 fps. No competition Shooting (yet), just paper and general plinking. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

4.1 worked great for me, with 124 plated. For 115 you could go a little higher. Alliant says 4.7 max with 115 jacketed... so take that under advisement. Don't think there's a rule against posting loads. Just compare anything with established data and work up as always.

BTW where'd you find 8 lbs of bullseye, you lucky dog?

Bullseye is one of my go to powders for my 9's.

Only you can find out what load is best for your 9mm.

Use your manuals and go from there.

Powder valley had 8# of bullseye and unique yesterday for about 5 min. Recobs has them in titegroup as im typing this

I've been using Bullseye for my 9MM and 45 ACP loads for a number of years and it produces very accurate rounds. I'm loading 115 gr FMJ bullets in the
9MM with 4.2 gr. of Bullseye.

I tried 4.1 all the way to 4.4. All functioned well with an Xtreme 115 RN in my sr9. It's sooty as all get out for me YMMV. I was trying to decrease the soot at 4.3 and 4.4, the jury is still out on that as I only function tested at those weights. (4.3 and 4.4)

And a lucky dog you are.

I had GunBot open all day at work yesterday and late in the afternoon, Powder Valley popped up with all size jugs available. When I first noticed, it had been available for 2 minutes. I ordered it as quickly as I could then went back and it was gone….no more than five minutes had passed since it was first listed. I called them this morning just to confirm (and verify that I hadn't been dreaming it) and they said it was invoiced and being shipped today. Now I just hope I like Bullseye since I've been using AA#5 in 9mm and HP-38 in .45acp and have been very happy with both.

I love Bullseye in 9mm as well. 4.2 with 124gr in my PCR is it's sweet spot.

I did some load development with Bullseye and below are the chronographed results. I was not looking for anything but an accurate load that functioned the pistol. 3.5 grains bullseye would not function the Berretta, but I got reliable function and good accuracy at 4.0 grains.
