Have tried the usual catalog sources such as Midway USA and MidSouth Shooters Supply and no one has any. When I was shooting NRA Hunter Pistol Silhouette a few years ago it was easy to find. What has happened?
I have one of the Ruger .204's and the dies to reload. It is a great rifle and very fast with light bullets. I think that perhaps the originator of this thread has an axe to grind. Hopefully he will explain and answer some of the above questions.
Few have fought with the NRA more than I have. They make some bad mistakes yet they do a tremendous amount of good. The fact we still have a viable 2nd Amendment is due to the fear factor that they have put on the Congress. The other thing that they do well at is help with bringing in junior...
I read in Shooting Sports USA that the High Power matches and other national matches are being moved out of Camp Perry. After 107 years as the the premier place for shooters, suddenly a change supposedly noted as an upgrade. I am sure many shooters will not be happy as well as the vendors who...
As an old geezer of almost 85 I did as much as I could and even gave the UBC No group as much money as I could spare. It was SAM and die hard Gun Owners of Maine who worked hard to get the info out as to the out of state Bloomberg money and legal-ease wording of a ludicrous referendum question...
Own a Thompson Contender in that caliber, .256 Winchester Magnum. The cartridge is based on a .357 Magnum necked down to 0.257-inch. I would not consider it a good deer or pig cartridge as its velocity is only around 2300 fps and energy of around 700 ft/lbs. Of course those number might be...
At 83 my personal opinion is that good hygiene is enough. Wash your hands! It is my observation that casting and reloading are more apt to cause a problem with lead than shooting, even indoors. Just wash and when casting do so with a fresh air flow away from the pot. Common sense goes along way!
Several years ago we had a preteen junior rifle shooter with leukemia and he want though all these ordeals. He today is a strapping 6 footer and very healthy. He had to miss some of the shooting when he was most vulnerable but he made it and has fully recovered. Hang in there!
My son had some expensive DoubleTap ammo in .35 Whelen and he had several of them have leaks burn through the base wall upon firing. When I told the manufacturer about it they were able to duplicate it and sent me back an email saying they were changing to Norma brass. Here is a picture:

SACO, Maine —A Saco resident accused of killing a 59-year-old woman in a random attack at Shaw's Supermarket in Saco earlier this week will undergo a mental exam.Investigators said MacAlister confessed to killing Boudreau, saying he followed her from the parking lot to the ice cream aisle of the...
Well I just got an email from Doubletap that said- "upon your letter we did some testing of our own and found the same problem with the reloads
we are now going to switch to norma brass Thank you for your input and we would like to offer you a 15% discount on your next order" You can bet...
The brass was new un-fired initially and the first 2 failures were 1st time reload with below start recommended powder, IMR 4064, 52.5 grs. . There hand-load data shows 54 gr start and top at 59 gr which would be a full case.
I'll post two more photos:
