    Friend pulled a gun yesterday

Legally, he might be in some trouble Morally, I agree with what he did, though. You have a right to defend yourself and your loved ones.

I got shot at while walking home

A guy I knew in college was killed in Philadelphia He was killed by shots fired from a drive-by shooting. Here you have a college student-athlete killed outside of a party over summer break. No mention of the shooting/murder in the papers or on televised news.

"Can I look in the vehicle?" wife & kids present

Years ago my car was almost totalled, so to get around my girlfriend let me borrow her car. I drove it for three weeks, and before I gave it back to her I decided to vacuum it out. Right underneath the passenger seat was a bag of marijuana that she didn't even know was there. It turns out her...

"Can I look in the vehicle?" wife & kids present

I tell everyone I know to say this if a cops asks to search: "No, I don't consent to a search" If the officers asks why, then: "A lawyer told me to never consent to a search."

    Drunk off-duty cop attacks woman...

That video was absolutely DISGUSTING Sorry, it's not very "High Road" of me, but I agree with some of the other posters in that I wish I was there.

    Have You Been Assaulted?

Ditto. I'm the guy that most people are probably worried about. What's interesting is that my "demeanor" simply consists of situational awareness combined combined with a "man up" attitude. When I see suspicious characters, I make sure that they are aware that I am aware of them. Goblins...

I present evidence that New York is entirely beyond redemption:

Zero_DgZ: Yeah, on the surface it's funny, but the reality is that this seems like a blatant (proposed) violation of the 1st amendment. And if this ban were to make it to law, then what's next? Maybe bans on certain attire, clothing, colors, etc. Ex: The .gov claims gang members...

I present evidence that New York is entirely beyond redemption:

Yeah, why use the brake lights :p I think some of the legislators are simply annoyed at the "hip hop" look that a lot of people give their cars.

(UK) 2 year sentence for ammo, parts!

 Y'all forgot this very emotionally-appealing sentence. My definition of "serious" is much more, well, serious. Can someone explain this sentence to me?

France bans citizen journalists from reporting violence

Savage3006: This law applies only to "happy slapping?" To me, it seems like a convenient way to limit access to negative information about France. Kinda like how some cities fudge crime statistics to make the city appear safer than it really is, so that the city remains an attractive...

The Brits are getting crazy again

Either that, or everyone will be required to wear government-issued shackles.

France bans citizen journalists from reporting violence

Wow, cross France off the list I will not consider living there. This seems like plain, old-fashioned government censorship to me. What about acting? If a French drama student films themselves in a "violent" scene and publishes it, what if the .fr.gov doesn't realize it's acting?

United States Government restricting Chemistry sets

Wired ran an article about this some time ago: http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/14.06/chemistry_pr.html

arguing with an anti, need some more ammo.

You could simply point out the fact that if a "psycho" with a gun were to corner them somewhere, they would be completely helpless to defend themselves, their wife/husband, their kids, etc.
