    shoulder rigs

Don't worry about muzzle direction unless your gun is going to go off by itself.

    $560 for a used USP 45 - good deal?

If the gun doesn't have a ton of wear, then it's a great deal. As for carrying a USP, it's doable but you'll probably have to dress for it (as opposed to small guns that are pretty easy to conceal with any outfit).

    Simple Shot Timer Recommendations?

If you happen to have a smart phone, there are several shot timer apps out there. There is a great free one for iPhone.

What is the last gun that you bought?

Picking up my new M&P Pro 9mm 4" on Monday (unless UPS screws up). :D

Wife ok with gun for HD not with me carrying CCW

That's exactly what I do! My wife wasn't a big fan of me getting my chl (I sold a gun that was going to buy me my CHL or a WASR-10). But after a couple of car jackings and other violent crimes she was less concerned about me CCing. I never tell her when I'm carrying, she never asks, and we...

When have you NOT regretted selling a gun?

Sold a Winchester 62a that I inherited from a bad family member. It paid for my CHL, class, and holsters.

    Laser or Light for HD?

Why are people so obsessed with "surprising" the bad guy? If I think there is a person in my house, I'm going to start yelling for them to get out, and tell them I have a gun. Your first goal should be getting them out of your home, not sneaking up on them so you can shoot them. I voted for...

$200 and under Bolt action .22lr?

I just sold my Mossberg 46Bb. You should be able to find them for around $100. It was the most accurate .22lr I've ever shot.

Starbucks: Vote for Free Coffee for OCers

I took hmpgargh advice and searched for all the gun related topics. Kind of 'funny' seeing how upset some of the yuppies are about guns in the stores.

    My Sig 522..sweet!!

Very nice. What type of red dot did you put on it, and what was the cost for the gun?

    Fun with UPS

I work for a large delivery company, and it always surprises to hear how people think we treat your box. I have to load a semi truck at the rate of one package every three seconds, so that is why your boxes get dinged up. A good rule of thumb for packing your stuff: if you aren't comfortable...

    The right thing to do?

So, did you take the seller up on his offer to send it for you? It's lame that it doesn't work, but you should at least give the manufacturer a chance to fix it for you.

Why not just turn on a light?

It's funny how everybody wants to sneak around their house trying to surprise an intruder. Even Clint Smith says that you should be yelling warnings to a possible intruder. I'd much rather have someone running away from me because I'm yelling "I'm armed, I've called 911", instead of some meth...

A charging man can cover a great distance

Although it may take some time to start backing up, it will at least reduce the closing rate of someone with a knife/fist/tire iron. There is another great study that showed the reaction times of LEO's responded to someone drawing and firing. I don't remember the exact numbers anymore, but it...

    Public's perception of various firearms

I think pistol grips on rifles or shotguns get people a little more worried as well.
