If Soviets had had the AK in WW2...

The Soviets weren't looking to expand. Hell, Stalin even tried with all of his power to stop Mao from having a revolution in China. That's why there were always strained relations between the Soviets and China. They propped up eastern European countries with state-socialist governments just the...

Review & Range Report > CZ 999 ... From 'Serbia' with Love ?

CZ99 = EAA EZ9. I love mine, especially for the price!

AK magazines don't fit in my rifle

From what I understand, the WASR was designed to accept single stack mags. That's the issue.

    FNX-9 v. PT809 v. Px4

I have the aformentioned EZ9 (known as the Zastava CZ99), not to be confused with CZ as in Czech, but as in Crvena Zastava. I have an affinity for Serbian arms, and here's the article that pushed me over the edge: http://www.americanhandgunner.com/Ftrs/JA08/EAA.html My shooting buddy as a...

    Optics dilemma for AR-15

Burris AR-332, and Leupold Mark-AR scopes have been the best budget ones I could find. They're both around $300. The Mark AR is variable power and has adjustments for different ranges based on bullet drop for the .223. The Burris is fixed 3x, and has drop reticles as well. They're the best .223...

    Springfield XD- Made in Croatia?

I've been to Karlovac, stopped there for awhile on my way from Ljubljana to Split. It's really pretty country, and the people are amazing. I'd visit that part of the world for a whole month every year if I could afford it. One thing that most US Citizens don't understand about the former...

    FNP 45, Witness P .45.

Any word on the EAA ez9?

Agreed with the poster above, except that Sig's are without a doubt better. I have an EZ-9 Carry, and compared to my shooting buddy's 226, it is unrefined. However, for the money, it's quite amazing. I paid $270 pre-tax for a NIB from Cabela's about 3 months ago, but that seemed to be a freak...

CZ Pistol Dislikes - voice 'em

@CZGuy - Yeah, I know what you mean. They're now called developing nations if you read the Economist/capitalist economic publications, or underdeveloped nations if you read socialist economic publications. Same thing as what the third world used to be. The third world distinction is important...

CZ Pistol Dislikes - voice 'em

Couple points. First is that there is no longer such thing as a "third world". The term was used to describe the three worlds during the Cold War by the West. 1st = Capitalist nations, 2nd = State Socialist nations, 3rd = Periphery. Even by using the classic definition, you'd still be off as all...

The Appleseed Project on the front page of the NY Times.

How many dissenters actually read the article? I mean really actually read it? This is an investigative article, not an editorial. In an investigative article, one looks at the questions and issues from all angles pertaining to the subject in question. Each side is given a chance and each point...

    Who makes a 10mm?

They've stopped making the Witnesses in the round slide configuration. Although, I had one, and after about 1k rounds I didnt have any issues with cracks. That was all with doubletap ammo too.

Anyone own both an AR-15 and an AK-47?

All I can hear when I shoot the AR is "DOING, DOING, DOING". So annoying. But out of a well compensated AR and a slant brake Yugo AK, the AR is louder. Both 16" barrels. The SU-16B is way louder than both, due to no compensator.

    cx4 storm

Curious as to some first hand experience. I want a carbine next and I'm going back and forth between this and the Sub 2k.
