I coined a phrase in the mid 80s, I was a Board Member at the time of IALEFI.
"More is better, always" I still live by that thought, of course, a few 22 round Glock magazines is stretching it.
But a Glock 19, capacity 16 rounds, not to heavy, and a spare Glock 17 magazine, feasible. The spare magazine more for malfunctions really.
The President at that time said "Spray and pray" a lot, a 6 shot revolver was plenty for him.
In setting up a shoot in Washington D.C. to make a point, more or less, at an Annual Training Conference, ATC.
Instructions.
On the sound of a timer, draw and fire 6 rounds, at a cardboard target, 7 yds. away. Then go to a knee, and fire at the moving target, that was coming towards you, on a wire, powered by gravity.
The target was held back by a clothes peg, a helper pulled a string to disengage the hold back device on the 6th shot. Worked very well.
After 7yds. of movement, the target went behind a screen. Could not be seen.
The semi auto carrying Officers, got hits on the mover, only one revolver shooter reloaded, and got shots on the mover (he was a PPC expert!)
My statement of More is better always, was pretty much validated.
The Lt. who was assisting us, noted the no shoot target I placed as a no shoot screen, made a comment. By the way I could only get black paint on the range!
He was 6'4" tall, and built, a very dark skinned Black Guy.
"I thought no shoots were painted white, Mike"
"Not in DC" I said! As most of the Officers were Black!
He had been pulling my leg all day about my Accent. He thought about it for a moment, then broke up! The smack on my back, just about broke it.
