I don't have a 9mm I load 9mm for my granddaughter she has three. she likes 115 FMJ and Tight group powder. If you start rolling your own I know where to get cast bullets cheap 29.00 for 400.

You guys should see what 9mm is selling for In California

Do tell. I can see the ridiculous prices it sells out online for.

I've given up looking for caps as I realized I have 2k. I did buy a cap maker and need to experiment with it,

Never been so grateful to be a caster and reloader. Got enough lead to shoot round ball for a long, long time. Can cut up old t shirts for patches and make my own lube. Can punch over powder wads out of scrap leather. Have a bunch of real black and black MZ and the one plains rifle shoots very well at 50 yards with a mere 50 grains of 3F and a 54 round ball (would probably cleanly kill deer at 50 yards as well). Caps are the Achilles' heel. Suppose should be keeping an eye out for a flinter.

The $8.99 sticker price?

Looks like a BPS, thats about what I would expect.
Really? Dang, I’m glad I don’t shop there... we have really very few sporting goods stores around here. Too rural. I’m ok with that.

Geez! Thats an insanely high price! I can make my own caps with a very hot primer mix...but i have a large stash of caps. I have remington 11s locally for cheap...if anyone needs any im sure i can help. Already helped a couple folks getting them caps for cheaper than what you would get locally. Im talking 60-65 shipped for 10 tins...1000 total count. Im also thinking about providing a primer ingredients similar to Prime-All although for a way better price and customized so that it has a better burn and has an added stabilizer to protect from moisture and degredation. Would work in refilling gun primers too. Its similar to the old Frankford Arsenal H-48/H-42 mix. The cap maker that ".22 reloader" sells is of great quality...but their prime all mix is a rip off price wise and the binder they use is horrible...and no telling what kind of quality their sulfur is. I wouldnt recommend it from them. But the cap maker is well wortg every penny in my opinion.

I have an ammo can full primers, Unquie, RedDot, Bullseye, 2400, and 500 lb of wheel weight lead. I have ammo for about anything that shoots 54r cost me about 8 cents a pop.

If you start selling a priming mix, please let us know.

How do the RWS #11 compare to the Rem # 11? I can't find any specs on the RWS.

Anybody know?

I have them in my cart but afraid to hit

From my own old biased experiences with them, they are a slightly tight #11 cap.
They are just a little taller than any other cap by a very small amount.
They always work.
They were the only cap that wouldn't fit in my TC snail capper because they were just a teenie tiny little bit too tall, by a hair.
But my plastic TC capper may be shallow.

"RWS Number 11 Percussion Caps

Good fit on my Cimmaron 1st model dragoon .44 caliber revolver" --->>> https://www.sportsmans.com/shooting...ussion-caps/p/306755#smw_turnto_reviews_title

"As far as fit on the nipple, the RWS are the tightest, then the CCI and the Remington seem to be the loosest or largest diameter cap." --->>> https://americanlongrifles.org/forum/index.php?topic=39969.0

From Track of the Wolf:

Our nipples fit CCI & RWS No. 11 standard caps correctly.
Truly precision turned, our nipples have tapered cones made to perfectly fit the CCI brand No. 11 standard cap, or the identical Dynamit - Nobel RWS brand No. 1075 (red label) cap. Remington No. 11 caps are a tiny bit larger, an easy fit. Track has improved the fit, and extended the life of our percussion nipples. --->>> https://www.trackofthewolf.com/List/Item.aspx/159/1

I like the Remington #10 because it is more forgiving of the different nipple sizes and shank shapes because it more readily flares as it is seated. The RWS and CCI caps have harder walls that requires hard pushing to seat them whereas the Remingtons are pre-split and spread with little effort as they are seated so you can better sense when it is seated fully. If you don't have a perfect fit with the RWS & CCI then you have to ram them pretty hard and you often can't tell if they are all the way onto the nipple or not and you get misfires. If the RWS & CCIs had the same pre-split walls as the Remingtons I would use them since they seem to have more priming compound. The RWSs spark more than the Remingtons.

If my pistol's nipples won't take the Remington #10s I replace them with nipples that do. Half of my 15 or so revolvers take the RWS 1075, the other half take the CCI#11 but ALL take the Remington #10s and a few (3 or 4) will accept all 3 of the above sizes. None of my guns take the CCI#10 or the RWS#55 which are way too small.

And

You cannot equate different brands of caps with the same size number since they are not the same sizes regardless of the same number. A#10 CCI is way smaller than a #10 Remington. The RWS#55 (their "#10") is too small for any revolver that I've ever owned and that means zero of 38 guns. The Remington #10 is closest in size to the CCI#11 and the RWS#1075. Go figure, but they are not standardized. Any time you state the number (size) of cap you must also state the brand to indicate what nipple it might fit.

If you do end up buying any RWS caps and trying them out, please let us know some of the details about how they fit and work with your guns.
Then other people will have a better idea about which guns and nipples that they work with.
Thank you for asking about them, so that others won't need to search for the same info.

Check your Walmart store. Early this morning the Lawton Walmart on 67th St. had a good supply of CCI #11 caps. Price was $4.99.

Midway now has CCI #11's in stock @ $52.99 /1000. --->>> https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1301928524?pid=995981

Beware that the RWS caps being sold by Midway are 1075 Plus even though the product page title doesn't clearly state it.
And a photo of the container of 250 [seen when selecting the quantity] is labeled as being regular #1075's which is misleading.
A user review explains it. --->>> https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1022777938

YUPP. !!!!!!! I got bit....

I was able to order x6 tins of Remington #10's from Cabela's on August 19th, but just as soon as I made the order they were out of stock again. I even called customer service to make sure that it was really the correct SKU.

Guys I am going to post this AGAIN. You want caps/powder, this guy HAS IT IN STOCK.

http://blackpowderva.com/

Yes, he's a friend of mine but with everybody whining about black powder supplies, this guy has it all and needs support. Most of his sales have been with the North South Skirmish Association and his place is located at the exit to our National range, Fort Shenandoah in Winchester, VA. With most of the N-SSA stuff put on hold for the "plague", his sales are way off. Just call and leave a message, Jackie will get back with you if he or his wife don't answer. Jackie runs an active farm so he doesn't sit by the phone all day waiting for calls. I just bought 3k RWS musket caps and 20lbs of 3f from him and he has plenty in stock.

I too was having a heck of a time finding both #10's and #11's, recently I just happened to find both, in each case from friends. I hope the drought dosen't last, unfortunately I suspect it will. Dave951 I'm going to take your advice and try blackpowderva.com

I have been able to find #11 caps but not #10 here in Eugene. Can't find any win. caps to reload my .45 colt cases. Or spp for my 9mm.

Caps are out there.

From what i've experienced you may be paying a bit more than what you're accustomed to when you do find some of these. I've been lucky to find all of the CCI #11'S I want at a sort-of-local gun shop. They always have the CCI musket caps as well. Both have went up about 10-15% on price.

None of these are preferred but have kept me shooting and out of my stash of "good caps" until they become available around here again...
