Looking to make good use of the 2 lbs of Titegroup I got from a fellow THR member so tell me your success stories with this powder.

Just bought a pound and it works good for 38 Special lead loads for me. Not as accurate in my 357 but I can chalk that up to me finding the right load. Can't speak to 40

3 grains in a 38 with a cast 158 worked just fine at 15 yards. Dont recall oal off the top of my head but used the number out of the lyman 50th.

Used in 9, 38 and 45. Haven't used in 40 but hodgdon lists loads for it so I bet it'll do fine.

I've used it for 38 sp. works fine, get a lot of ammo from one pound . my best recommendation is to use it for plinking around, nothing too serious. I did find it to be somewhat position sensitive . no big deal if you're just shootin' a soup can.

I've used it in 45acp with cast and jacketed bullets and 45Colt cast bullets with good results. I first used it in 45Colt because it was advertised as not being position sensitive.

I have had great luck with .38 special 148 grain HBWC over titegroup. I use these for my wife to shoot from her .357 mag. Ruger LCR. Nice soft load with minimal recoil and great accuracy. Using mid range data from Hornady's ninth edition manual.

I recently loaded 250 .40s&w 180 gr JHP....i was happy with accuracy but don't rely on my data..i like titegroup for .40 and 9mm 20210220_204404.jpg

I have used it in .40 in my USPSA days. 4.7gr. got me to major power factor with a 180 grain bullet but not reliably. Luckily I never got chronographed as I doubt that I would have made it. This was a max load in most manuals. Other than that, it worked just fine.

Sierra shows some decent .40 data for all bullet weights, all kinda right in the mid-range. I thought about trying some with 9mm cast bullets recently since I'd heard about some for sale. Someone else ended up with it though and probably saved me the trouble.

I used titegroup for 40s&w with 165gr Berry’s plated rnfp. 5.1gr was most accurate for my Glock 22. Went as high as 5.4 grains.

It runs hot if you’re doing a high volume session and re holstering often. I was doing lots of draw and shoot drills with a holster that was a bit short and literally branded my upper leg from the hot slide. Ordered a better holster the next day.

When I was testing loads for 9mm Makarov a few years ago, I had an pound of Titegroup in my inventory I had been trying to find a use for, so I included it in my test loads (with 95gr lead bullet) and it turned out to be noticeably the most accurate combo among the 4-5 other powders I tested at the time. I consider that a success, and based on that I will very likely start using it in .380ACP if/when I have to start loading for that.

I used Hodgdon’s online data for 9, .38, 40 and 45. A variety of bullets in each. For light load to minor PF, it does as described.
A word of caution, insure you stay within the lines for both charge weight and COL. Good luck.

Few classic 9mm loads for me. For awhile the longer oal was used in a vp9 and czsp01. The oal was to long for my Shadow 2 and XDS so I developed the shorter oal load and found it exceedingly accurate and functioned in all guns. I've moved on from titegroup to wst,231 and sport pistol but I still have about 5lbs ready for when I return.
