I would not have guessed.

One thing's for sure, they're not getting any cheaper. I scoffed at the prices years ago, but finally had to accept that a decent one was gonna be a few hundred. Still more reasonable than the Marlin levers, though. I recently gave over $800 for a nice little model 97, produced around 1908-1910:

Yes, it seem around the world people are asking, and receiving, more for good quality firearms of yesteryear. Excellent buy, how does it shoot?

I have a few that I think qualify. Lots of folks hate on them but it's tough to argue against the 10/22. Plain few other rifles have as many faces to wear as the ubiquitous 10/22. Got my first almost 30yrs ago. Now I have nine of them, they are among my favorites. Not to be shown are my camera shy 94/22's.

I've had the Remington 541T nearly as long. Newly remodeled with a new Leupold 3.5-10x and fancy walnut. This rifle's head count is high.

Lastly the Winchester 63. Lusted after these for years before getting one.

That Remington is very stylish now! And that 10/22 is one of the better looking one's I have seen! Well done. Never realised how long the '63 barrel was.
