I tried to place an order for reloading powder from a vendor in Texas and they want a copy of a gun license. This is their response to my question: Please send us a valid gun license, firearm certificate or any equivalent document to process your order, thank you!
Does this seem odd? Thanks

Foes CA have a man on buying supplies, and having them sent to you. Like with ammo, needing to be sent to an FFL. Othereise send a copy of the bill of rights.

never heard of them, but texas has no requirement for any sort of ID beyond proving you are over 18 or 21 for ammo purchases. they don't even check that online. I'm sure this has something to do with shipping to california. I'm surprised they're willing to do it at all. a lot of places won't deal with california. google streetview shows some tiny warehouses with no signage. like what some plumbers base themselves out of.

My guess is they are trying to comply with crazy CA laws. Did you think by ordering from out of
state you could of avoid them? I've seen really scary stories about them.

PM Riomouse911 he's in CA also and seems to know about the laws you guys have to adhere to and any problems with what you are trying to do. I bet it is them to trying to navagate the CA minefield of gun laws.

I don't know all the seller's out there but haven't heard of them. Please do some research before sending them anything.

How can they have things when the big guys don't.............

Realize that a lot of gun dealers and I'm guessing ammo dealers won't even sell to CA cuz it's just not worth it.

Honestly, unless they have been around for at least 5 years and are either brick and mortar / larger online store, I would not try to buy anything from them.

That site smells fishy........

The SRP description places emphasis on primer seating (dip?) depth . I guess this is one more thing I need to measure....

I'd say - no way

What seems odd is they don't list powder on their website. How did you order powder from them?

I escaped CA a few years ago and at that time a bunch of really restrictive laws were being added to ammo sales. I'm sure the vendor is just trying to get the powder to you legally (I would guess the "gun license" is probably an FFL). One of the reasons I left CA was the crazy gun laws. At that time I could go into a store and buy 50 BMG ammo and walk out, but I had to show picture ID for 38 Special and the sale was recorded in a log...

Everytime I want something from an out of state vendor who states they wont ship to ca, I ask, never had one yet say they wont ship legal stuff. Guns and loaded ammo is usually what they mean.
