Not only can you see the quality and craftsmanship with the naked eye but you absolutely see it on target. The wife and I wanted to see if the RimX and Douglass Barrel was as picky about ammo as every other 22 rimfire rifle. So we shot RWS50 and SKPlus down the barrel with no cleaning or seasoning of the barrel.

What is the best shooting 22LR you have ever shot?
I may be off loading some of the other 22's not sure I need any of them now.
Is there anyone out there with a large round count through a RimX what is your experience for longevity?

I have read threads of RimX jamming this was my first outing and it was 100%

Demi-human cmon man I thought we were friends you come out here and take my man card :rofl::rofl: I took her to a local steak place one of the best we have been to and that is saying a lot because remember we have been to many countries and all around this great nation and yes I paid, man her purse didn't even leave the trunk of the car.

That’s how real men do.

Interesting, with all of the fine rimfires I’ve seen you shoot, that one made in Nebraska would be the keeper.
I kinda like that!:D

My Mossberg 46B bolt-action, from about 1952 or so, which does better. But they don't make them like that anymore.
Ive read that about a lot of the older .22s, and would love to see some groups from them.
Ive never had much luck with them myself, but guns get worn out pretty quick here. The .22 especially since they are generally relegated to pig poppers or similar duty.

That has to go to an older Savage / Anschutz rifle I have in my safe. Actually to be fair and honest it actually belongs to my sister and it's been on loan about 5 years now. :) During the 60s Savage entered into an agreement with Anschutz and brought the Anschutz rifles into the US, this was one of them. Currently has a 20X Redfield scope on it. While not really ammunition fussy it does well with the Eley stuff, even the lower end Eley stuff like Eley Club. This is likely the most accurate 22 LR I have ever shot. I have plenty of rimfires but none as good as this one.

Back in the early 70's I went to a friends gunshop, and told him I was moving to Alaska and I wanted the BEST QUALITY 22 he had in there... He came out with a Savage Anschutz, I bought it for $95 and I still have it.

I have no idea how many 500 round packs of ammo I've put through it since that day...
