Mis-typed MBT-2S. If so, what is your opinion of it for the money? I bought a few for some new builds I am doing but have been too tied up to actually build and try them. I've heard very good feedback on them on several forums, almost all good other than some find the trigger face too wide.

Thoughts?

I've got one, for the money it's a great trigger.

I'm also not a fan of the wide trigger....but I probably wouldn't even notice it if my other triggers were similar.

My other ARs all have Geissele's in them. The Larue, isn't a Geissele SSA-E, but it doesn't cost $240 either (although IF you shop around you can find Geissele's for around $200).

I’ve got 4 of them they are my go to trigger. I have a Geissele SSA-E in another and honestly don’t see enough difference between it and the LaRue. From this point forward I’ll just stick with the LaRue.

In no order…Rock River National Match, ALG ACT, Geissele, and LaRue….depends what I am doing and price point…

I bought three of the LaRue for two builds and replacing a mil spec trigger on my existing AR so good to hear positive feedback. There were on special last Holiday Season for $90 so I thought what the heck? I'm not a trigger snob at all but I do find standard mil spec triggers a bit of a hindrance if I am trying to shoot accurately.

I have one, it was the first aftermarket trigger I ever bought and compared to the few stock triggers I had experience with, it felt like I couldn't honestly picture how a 2 stage trigger could be better, until I bought a Geissele.

For $80 I believe it is a fantastic value and the break and reset is excellent. If they sold them at the same price of the Geissele, I would think the same thing honestly. In that case I believe it would come down to the profile preference. I personally prefer the Geissele because I prefer the mil spec profile vs the wide flat. Honestly the crispness of the SSA and MBT-2S is very similar, but the pull weight feels like about a pound heavier on the Geissele which I like, and the reset is a lil more positive.

Not taking nothing away from the LaRue, I believe for a long range precision setup ir a Varminter, the LaRue would shine over the SSA, but for general purpose carbine setup, I would lean toward the Geissele, any Geissele.

I also like single stage triggers, and the BCM and PSA Enhanced Nib triggers are also excellent. I like the crispness of the SSA and also the fact that it has a lil heavier pull weight, although I never did try the 6# spring that comes with all MBT's, that is something I've been meaning to try.

I have a couple and second what others have said. They are really nice triggers and no regrets at all. I feel that due to their materials and method of manufacture, they are above almost all other 2S options.

I have two of them and think they are the best bang-for-the-buck trigger on the market.

Some shooters don't care for the wide, flat trigger face but it works fine for me even though I would prefer a more rounded trigger.

Ive shot a few of the Larue OBR and PredatOBR rifle with their triggers. I remember the triggers being pretty nice and they definitely didnt hinder the accuracy of the rifles at distance.

Same as the above. I replaced a Mil-Spec trigger with a Larue a couple years ago. Very happy with the Larue, and for the money I don't know how you could do better.

I have the LaRue MBT2S. They are very good, IMO. Mine is completely crisp, and light enough not to hinder accuracy, just heavy enough not to be unsafe in a gun like the AR. I'm not normally a 2-stage trigger fan, but I like the LaRue 2S better than a single stage in the AR.

Geiselle's National Match and SSA-E triggers are my favorite, but the MBTs are very nice triggers, especially for the money. I'm not wild over the wide trigger face, but they take up smoothly and break crisply.

I have one in my rifle that I put together for High Power AR Tactical matches. I like it a lot
