If Bush wins... expect violence.

My dad has almost freakish spatial abilities. He was actually told by the Air National Guard that their first preference for someone with his aptitude was service as an airframe mechanic, which was OK with him because he hates advanced math of any kind. Then he spent 20 years as a mechanic with the Pillsbury corporation, and right now he's working on a miniature lathe and milling machine so he can machine miniature firearms from scratch. Essentially, we're talking about the ability to visualize the inner workings of any sort of mechanical device and predict the motions and forces involved, as well as the ability to take a pile of parts from three different machines and put together each one quickly with no mistakes.

For a pilot, I imagine the tough part would be thinking in three dimensions rather than limiting yourself instinctively to two (if you're driving a car on flat land, you can move in two dimensions.)

Dad wouldn't want to be President, though. The President doesn't do any of the things dad is best at.

I knew wildalaska could be counted on to post a completely irrevelant comment. If you don't like the thread, don't read it.

"The so called left is FAR less cohesive, organized, or dedicated than it was in the 1960s."

The drugs are more potent these days.

Well it really wasn't irrelevant, Dave. Wild would find anything uncomplimentary about his politics to be boring. And this is one of those discussions about what legitimately might be going wrong and those are never popular with some people.

I think it is just that WildAlaska is insulated up there in the far-north.

If he was down here near the cities massing with liberals, threating violence, he might feel different.

Y'all are funny. So if Kerry wins, what happens? A horrifying outbreak of peace and quiet?

Seriously, who here lives in a compound?

:uhoh:

I hope there will be no violence from anyone. The decline of mannors on THR seem to be a litmus test to the rest of the USA and the world. This election could change history irreversibly.

JohnBT: When I think of the '60s I think of LSD25. Now days there is a terrible dry spell for lsd. One of the major cooks was shut down in the 90's and no one has taken his place. Plus blotters are generaly much less dense(less mg's per square) then ever before.

heh. It might be a Night of the Living Dead scenario-Lefties with Kerry/Edwards buttons wandering the streets, arms outstretched, impervious to bullets. Ya might have to run 'em over with your 4x4 :p

Denfoote

I remember, four years ago, we had the same warnings.
I bought a bunch of ammo. Over the years, I've gone ahead and shot it off.
Does this mean I have to start the process all over again????

You don't keep a modicum of ammo on hand?
After hearing about the Korean store owners in LA pleading for more ammo and hearing about how ammo sales were suspended during the riots, I decided I'd always have a reasonable amount on hand.

Tell Eric I said 'hi'.

ETA; I'm not expecting violence over this. I'm not expecting a house fire either, but I still have home owners insurance.

I thought everyone had at several thousand rounds of ammo per gun? Seriously, if I were to ever get below 3000 rounds for my SKS's alone, I would not feel right.

Will there be violence if GW wins? I'm sure there will be. The extreme left hates GW far, far more intensely than the far right. And most of the loony right tend to hunker down and dig fox holes when Clintons take office. The loony left's reaction to a GW victory will involve mass demonstrations and chaos. Thankfully, because of the Red and Blue split, most of the nonsense will be focused on a few urban areas in the mid-west and back east. Far from Alaska.

I already live on a compound, so I'm already ready if Kerry wins :D

The level of virturol I see emenating from the Left concerning Bush far surpasses anything I ever saw while Clinton was president. Bush I and Dole supporters were not going around keying cars, stealing and/or vandalizing campaign signs, storming campaign offices, or doing drive bys.

From things I've read over the past two days, reports of this political based harassment and property crime are increasing in frequency, and in severity. On top of what I'm reading about massive voter fraud, frankly, I worry that this November we (as in Bush supporters) will be living in interesting times.

Will this ever get MSM air time? We will see. In the mean time, I will continue to watch, and wait.

So what is your point, sendec? That the left, the more vocal and self-aggrandizing few at any rate, won't get violent if Bush wins? Current events seem to indicate otherwise. or that Bush supporters WILL get violent? Past events seem to indicate otherwise.

And who lives in a compound? Anyone the media cares to brand as such, that's who.

I've never figured out if someone runs their letters together without spaces is it supposed to be funny or do they think it's entertaining. Always seemed a little unfunny and unentertaining to me but that's just me.
