C&R License Question

I am applying for my C&R. I have the form, a fingerpint card and a certification of citizenship form. According to the C&R form I need to send copy 1 and payment to them and provide a copy to my local law enforcement agency. Do I need to send in my fingerprints and the citizenship certification as well? I cannot find anything on it in the ATF FAQ part of their website and all I get is a busy signal when I try to call...

Can anybody help? Thanks!

Unless there has been a recent change, for a C&R, you don't send any fingerprints. That's for 01FFL's. You do need to send the citizenship form to the ATF, but not to the local police.

You need to send the 03 application, your check and the citizenship card to BATF.

Send just a copy of your 03 app to your CLEO with a cover letter.

No fingerprints for me and that was roughly a year ago or so. Just the money, the main form, and the citizenship thing.

Save them fingerprints - they'll come in handy when you buy a Class 3 gun.

I wish I'd seen this pdf of the application when I sent mine in last year.

It's the type of .pdf where you can enter in the information and then print out the completed form.
My handwriting is only semilegible and I went through a dozen copies of the app before I had one I considered neat enough to send in. :evil:

Nice, but is this form still valid? The BATF is now the BATFE, and the mailing address is now Atlanta, I think, and not Dallas.

Iâ€™ve been bitten by the C&R bug myself. In my excitement, I downloaded the forms from various sites, filled them out, and mailed them off. Now, I have the sinking feeling that Iâ€™ve submitted out-of-date forms to the wrong address. :uhoh:

I don't know if the pdf from cruffers is still valid. They should be. cruffers keeps their site pretty much up to date. If the forms you mailed in are invalid and out of date, they'll just call you or send them back to you. No worries, just a short delay.
